How do you deal with running out of smartgun ammo?

I try to get some private to carry my spare because I like to shoot a lot. I also like the BC because it slows down my rate of fire, which works well for my trigger happy self.

Just as a heads up, don't use the BC on a smartgun. It makes the weapon even worse than usual. You will consistently miss point blank bursts, and even with the BC you don't deal enough damage to justify the accuracy penalty.

On another note, the smartgun needs a serious buff, it's shooting cotton balls at the moment and has less ammo than a regular marine with ammo being harder to get as well. Also you will be meta targeted, but your weapon is useless so you can't even defend yourself.

Becouse you have to stand behind a PFC and you don't have to defend yourself.

Most xenos simply become immune to a smartgun after mature. Good luck killing literally any T3 with a smartgun when they are mature. Some T1's and T2's are also out of the picture. Smartgun vs warrior or defender is useless because all the bullets get deflected and even if they hit they have the damage of a cotton ball, also your accuracy is ass so good luck hitting in the first place.
