Connect this map with the current Alpha map lore wise.
Be cool to have a rotation of maps that all have some cool easter eggs and connection between eachother.

That sounds like an excellent idea.

Speaking of, would love to see an asteroid map focused around a mining and refining facility; seems like a shoe in for a connection with this one.

Something to do with the crashed shuttle perhaps?

Yeah, basically a Wyland mining operation pulled a Moria, dug too deep, and stumbled upon some formerly dormant Xenos which were wakened and subsequently overran its facilities.
The crashed ship may have tried to intervene and help, or perhaps it was an ore tanker that attempted to GTFO in a panic, only to get asterowned as xenos fucked with the crew, figuratively and literally.

Any more news on this? Maybe adding some special weapons only on the ship would be great, maybe being research. I dunno... I just want to know it's progress.

The map looks really nice, I hope to see a future map made that heavily resembles what we see in the films. AKA tight hallways with lots of back around areas resembling that of a big spider web, very un-linear but has lots of small spaces to make it tense. Not sure how that goes along with gameplay though is the sad part.

I've been kept busy by real life and making icons for the Alpha. I totally want to finish this map though.

I actually need some opinions.
So they asteroid caves surrounding the ship are currently filled with air. Should I:
Option A.) Keep them filled with air. Litter some oxygen tanks around the caves and some bones. Pretend the old crew terraformed the area to support air.
Option B.) Remove air from the caves. Set up a small USCM docking module on the asteroid for the shuttle to dock. Give it a storage room filled with rows of breath-masks and expanded oxygen tanks.
Any suggestions?

I like option B. Gives players another little mini-goal.

I would suggest option B as its a bit more thematic and gives a actual reason to use Gas Masks in game. Just make sure to put a lot of excess gas masks and oxy tanks around.
Last time I checked Facehuggers act as a gas mask, so even if your facehugged your Oxytank will still provide air.

I could probably scatter some oxygen tanks and equipment in the caves surrounded by rubble. That way if a marine loses their mask in combat they'll have a way to obtain a new one.

PLEASE, close of BREACH-ABLE area, because ATMOS are a bitch, and yes, please, have heater in their.
Unfortunately, Marine don't wear Outer Space gears, and would frozed off on hours of sitting in there.

It will be pressurized, but airless. The ship and the USCM docking module will both have air, as well as oxygen equipment.

There would need to be a large airlock system to ensure the atmo of either ships is not screwed around with. There's also the problem of Aliens melting their way in/out and causing atmo breaches from there.

I agree, that why when said "ATMOS breach is a bitch". Please REINFORCED the outer hull against melt-able walls, since we might see what happen in the old CM.

Option B sounds pretty good. Gives real meaning to the gas masks.

What if you did option B, but add something that will allow air to be pumped into the tunnels that way it sort of gives a objective sort of like the generators on the map we are on now. Otherwise looks great!!

I started work on this again and started to expand the caverns. Unfortunately (and fortunately), donations just re-opened so I'm going to have to shift my attention to that for a week or so.
