One time as a marine engineer I was helping fortify Sulaco with shield generators (didn't want to use emitters), I succeeded and they lasted awhile.

Only issue is the one time I attempted to help a fellow marine they abandon me during a firefight, and I get facehugged, they chop off my hands, luckily I managed to quickly pull out a knife and stab myself in the face before I dropped it realizing I had no hands.

Issue was I didn't bleed out before I popped. Still don't get how someone with a gaping wound in their face, and no feet, nor hands does not bleed out.

Playing last night in Bravo. We're covering the engisphere. Turns out FOB is over-run. We start to bug out, Aliums everywhere. We get into the pod. 2 x Crushers and some Runners get in. Panic, screaming, gunfire, explosions. I pull an incendiary grenade and go to throw it out the door just as the pod launches. I fall onto my ass, drop grenade, set fire to half the pod and half the squad, the Crusher that was still in gets pushed out the broken airlock and vanishes into spess.

I'll take that as a victory.

i was the one of the crushers. not the one that was in the shuttle. it fell to the ground and was in crit. but i dragged it into weeds and saved it's life
