Deliberately dragged out a match as Hivelord in the tomb cave so this idea gets more support; hope we see some more +1s soon.

This really needs to be implemented, I fucking hate having to waste an hour of my time in a round where there's one fracking alien alive and the admins refuse to end the round for the enjoyment of two or so people.

+1

I was nicknamed 'Sanic the XenoHog' in a round, today, after our entire xeno-hive had been slaughtered and only I as a runner survived. It was fun, I fucked a ton of people up, but the round was dragging. Me, one person, having fun shouldn't come at the cost of people waiting. Thus, I +1 to a 20 minute or so timer. Though, it should be a minor victory to the marines, because they couldn't wipe out the alien infestation.

+1 for a 20 minute timer...

This would also -hopefully- provide an incentive for the Queen to stay alive, instead of charging into battle. The Queen belongs in the Hive. Until marines are retreating, the Queen should stay in the Hive. This would add a consequence for the ones that foolishly rush the marine base when they arrive.

+1, nothing's a bigger pain in the ass then when the last couple surviving aliens are hiding in a corner, and the round gets extended with another twenty minutes of jerking off in FoB

Ehm, no. Aliens have X-ray vision and humans won't left Sulaco, cause they have to defend it.

Except Aliens can't see inside lockers, disposal bins or every other inch of the ship.

Melt, melt, melt! There is only one place, where marine can hide from aliens and they won't be able to reach him. It's space. In this case, admins will somehow interfere.

+1 All the reasons have been mentioned already. When there is only 1 player enjoying the round, we could aswell start a new.

+1, last round I've played has lasted 3+ hours, just because the aliens were dragging it on.

I completely agree, this means that if the last drone is afk, it dosent matter, the game may go on, the only problem maybe is if there is a larva thats not afk and trying their hardest, but, otherwise, I completely agree with this, rules should be changed to reflect this post

+1. Also let marines retreat if their morale is broken, for Gods sake. No need to drag the fight on and on.

+1. Marines have no minor victory conditions, and I think this would be a good one.

I suggest having two separate timers: 10m for a situation when there are no drones and no queen, 20m for when there's atleast one drone.

+ 1 but with a limitation.

every now and then one of the admins or someone gets a hankering to try doing the alien isolation thing or try to see how it'd pan out if they go all runners/sentis with no queen, while a retarded idea it may BE i dont want to deny them that opportunity if it REALLY means that much to them, perhaps give the admins the ability to override this feature if they're specifically going for something like that or if the roleplay/event justifies it?

Adding to my own suggestion as well...

Still extremely relevant and needed to help ease some long non ending games.

Bumping this.

Still a massive round delay and a daily issue.

This would just make it so that the Queen never gets in combat again because it might make them lose, while team-marine rushes her down because there is a fair chance they'll win off it.

Gross. The spirit is there, but the execution is suspect. I think instead of trying to improve the "murder everyone" objective there needs to be some minor one that marines can do.

Feel free to embellish, cuz the thread is a lot of "yes, aliens can delay and that's lame."

And I agree. However, the flipside is I think queens leading the charge and getting down to business would be a thing of the past even if there might be drones/larva to take up the mantle, simply because AWH SHIT you'd damn the whole team if you die, where as now egg production falls on its face... when you probably hadn't needed to shit out eggs for the past twenty minutes.

I don't think the queen should really ever be leading a charge anyway. They're the hive queen, not the ravager. They're not supposed to be leading the wave of combatants coming at the marines.
