Your whole team wouldn't die right away, it would take 15 minutes before the aliens lost. Please of time for a new queen to replace oneGamerofthegame wrote:Feel free to embellish, cuz the thread is a lot of "yes, aliens can delay and that's lame."
And I agree. However, the flipside is I think queens leading the charge and getting down to business would be a thing of the past even if there might be drones/larva to take up the mantle, simply because AWH SHIT you'd damn the whole team if you die, where as now egg production falls on its face... when you probably hadn't needed to shit out eggs for the past twenty minutes.

Re: Marine Victory when no Queen remains
There are plenty of rounds where the amount of Drone-tiers is next to nothing, likely already hivelords/carriers. Where the queen kicks the bucket and team alien realizes AWH HELL no one is available to queen it up. Often they get a larva to pop after a bit that'll take the reins, but all the same.
It will change things and I'm not really sure if it's for the better.

Re: Marine Victory when no Queen remains
Not sure if this solves you problem but couldn't you make it so if X amount of tier 3, tier 2 and tier 1 xenos have died as well as the queen dying it would begin this 15 minute countdown ?
Tier 0 is larva just so people don't get angry.

Queens would either A: Have some kind of buff so the round isn't over within the first hour, or B: Have to play A LOT SMARTER. Either way, I certainly don't think this is a bad idea.

+1, I get bored when rounds drag on with no queen. I would be fine with 15-20 minutes at the least, 30 at the most.

I think this would be awesome, but another thing that is annoying is how even when majority of everyone is dead the last marines and aliens just slug it out retreating and fighting, retreating and fighting. It's pretty annoying.

100 percent in support of this suggestion.
I stopped playing a while ago because aliens were fucking scumbags and drew out the round.

Yeah, something needs to change. Three hours plus for a round is getting obscene.
There is no real way to balance this out though.
Only option I can think of, is that Marines will ALWAYS win unless the Aliens manage to achieve certain conditions.
So, after first contact with Aliens, once Marine casualties hit 'x', a command instruction is received to nuke the planet. In order to achieve that, the XO has to deal with the WY Rep, which gives a bit of a mini game to it. The only way this can be stopped is if the Aliens board the Sulaco as the Marines wont nuke the planet if there's a chance the Sul has been infested and they might need to escape to it. It'd force the Aliens to throw everything they had at getting on the Sul. It would at least keep the game moving.
I don't know... this is just spitballing.

+1. No one likes a lone wolf xenomorph delaying the round another 30-45 minutes of running around and jacking off to the marines trying to find said xenomorph.

Denied. There have been a few rounds where the queen died that were still interesting.
