A predator is actually allowed to cloak kill which is stated in the rules of the honor code. A marine that shoots a predator on first sight I'm sure, becomes a target or prey that the predator must now add to his trophy collection. I believe that if a group of marines actually decide to help the target or the target stays with the group, then they're allowed to be cloak killed because they're nuisances that's blocking him off from his target. Also like what was said earlier just use the plasma canister if a marine is deciding to use a long-ranged weapon or if they're doing melee then just go in for close combat.

The only problem I have with preds is how some decide to either go up close in combat and attack then cloak to repeat the process or some will actually use the canister when you have done nothing to provoke using long-range combat.

One thing I want to point out is that lore wise Predators are very fracking durable.

In Predator 2 the Predator took eight point blank shotgun rounds to its chest, arms and legs and only suffered being knocked on the floor. Yet he got up mere moments later and was still fully combat capable, being able to charge and use his weaponry to deadly effect. The Predator even had his arm cut off later on and he was still highly mobile and just as effective in combat with his one working arm.

Ultimantly Predators are very hard to kill, ranged combat or otherwise.

While I have not played as a Predator, I think it should a lot of effort to kill a Predator. Either from suffering from heavy blood loss or so much raw damage that his body just crumples apart.
This is war, survival is your responsibility.
