If this game had achievements that would probably be one of them. Two of them I guess, technically.

I'm not sure how much of an accomplishment it is; most marines really don't give a shit, and researchers are more than happy to see their mechs/other toys used by the grunts rather than be summarily ignored.

To my brother in arms Xander Shruppy, whom defended the marine locker room by my side while displaying great valor and poise. This was when the Sulaco was overwhelmed with a ceaseless pack of hellhounds that had an insatiable hunger for human flesh. Together we killed roughly ten of the beasts.

Victor 'Orbital' Kaipov (yes, self praise again)

Taking predators mask and bracers off(for added cosmetics), Kaipov went down planetside to help out marines who failed another assault against aliens, nearly annihilating entire hive by himself.

Back in the Deadelus prison map, we were retreating and the shuttle was a clusterfuck, and I MEAN CLUSTERFUCK.
Dead bodies everywhere, people shooting and turrets going crazy. I was alpha SL and by this point my squad was either dead or wounded beyond fucking beleif, I remember helping my specialist to the shuttle and shot down a runner.
The shuttle was one minute from launch and the WHOLE, DAMN hive was there, through the windows I saw the queen a rav and two boilers. So I lifted up my rifle and told command to launch the shuttle, which was about twenty seconds. A hunter and a praetorian broke in and the clusterfuck shot them down, but both sides were doomed and I did what any careless asshat would, I threw myself into the docking collar as they boarded the other side, cooking a grenade and firing like a madman. The grenade blew and I still stood, missing an arm. I pulled my revolver and got charged by a rav into the docking deck, I picked it up and got my knife out and stabbed a hunter to crit, and shot a rav down to probably 50%, by then I was swarmed and I cooked my last grenade and fired my revolver, charging into the enemies. I don't think I killed anyone with the last nade but I sure as fuck sent a message. Shortly after I was decapitated and left on the docking bay, never to be reconciled for my actions by anyone, not even the BO.

True story by the way, wish I had a SADAR for that occasion.

So things had been going bad for marines. We managed to hold off a hangar attack, but MOTHER was pushing us to attack and we were short on men. Finally, we went down in the pod hoping something would come of it. Once we get on the ground everyone runs off to who knows where and fires at aliens. About midway through our counterattack I noticed a marine get facehugged and dragged behind IA by a xeno. Acting without thinking, I chase after that xeno with all my fury and finally managed to break the xeno's grip on the marine, drag them away while a friendly shoots at them, remove facehugger, drag them back to LZ2, heal them, wake them up.

And then nobody noticed it except me :'C

Jacob 'Paladin' Stover

I didn't die a hero,
I didn't die at all.
I never got the MOST kills,
but I never got the LEAST.
Everyone was on the Sulaco but me.
The Preds were boarding,
Command was crying,
And everyone on my Delta comms slipped off,
one by one.
But I remained planet-side,
I didn't get to the Rasputin, I was dragging a wounded marine there.
She was slashed in the chest, an arm missing too,
She told me to run,
But I stayed and fought.
I told the marines not to come back down via LZ1,
Ran to LZ2,
Killed a pred,
Thank you B18,
and found the queen there too.
I hid in a body bag,
And waited for them to pass.
I told them not to go down LZ2,
And they said ten marines nearly went down to their deaths, were it not for me.
I'm not the hero of this story, as the Sulaco went down in flames.
I'm not the villain of this story,
I tried to be the good guy.
No,
I'm the survivor of this story,
And a hero to a special gal.
Maybe someday I can have the title of "Hero" or "Boss".
But for now I'm satisfied.
I'll stick with Paladin,
And you can rely on the fact,
That I'll light the way.

The amount of patting yourself on the back in this thread is cringe worthy.

My hero was Fiona the CT last night - her first time in the role and all other Req staff were SSD. She delivered on every request we gave her in command and was instrumental in ensuring supplies kept reaching the planet - she didn't even know what the Rasputin or Droppod were and still managed to get it right.

I hope you had fun, Fiona, and that you play again.

Well on the old map (that was basically the regular SS13 map with an added colonial marines ship) I once suicide bombed the alien hive when the marines were getting butchered and falling back. Knowing that I would never be able to get back I dragged a fuel tank into the (suprisingly) unguarded alien hive and managed to get it right up to the alien queen and between her and me. One well aimed pistol round later and I flew right across the room and blacked out for a couple of seconds before I woke up (with severe internal bleeding) and managed to stagger (half blind and completely deaf) into another squad that was trying to make their way back. I managed to say "I blew up the hive and the fat bitch!" (while coughing up blood) before I blacked out and never woke up again.

Not sure it followed the rules, but it was so worth it! :D

During the start of one of my first rounds as a combat engineer, our squad found one of the survivors early: he silently dragged a dead praetorian up to us. He ran back into the night before we could react in any way, such as asking him who he was under that welding helmet, what happened to the colony, or how he had managed to somehow take down a gigantic acid-spitting purple bugbeast on his own.

This continued as the match went on - the squad would catch glimpses of him chasing and killing xenos with his dragunov, only for him to wordlessly run away again when the marines tried to talk to him. It was like Batman and Rambo had fused to create some sort of mysterious, silent, xeno-slaying guerilla warrior. Much later when the marines started assaulting the xenomorph hive, he joined in with this hilarious tactic of creating dirt garden plots as makeshift defenses, which forced the xeno crushers to manouvre around them and lose precious charging momentum against the marines. I have a vague memory that the survivor may have been Evan Stelf. I only remember him speaking once, and that was because I was asking him if he remembered where we were in the caves so I could call for reinforcements.

Sadly, this epic survivalist badass went down when I accidentally shot him with an SMG, much to my own dismay and horror as I brought his body back to the drop pod for cloning. Whoever you were, you are the most badass survivor I've seen.

Nominating Jim for the Poor mans Hall of Fame. Was a absolute madman while the pods were about to launch. Queen had got on along with a ravager and Jim went to town on both of them with nothing but a machete, beating the ever living shit out of her and finally killing her. While marines shot at his back and the ravager slashed away at him, he still killed the queen. Gg no re jim.

Last night Jacob Blackpool was the most sought after trophy on the planet. After being marked by a predator as their first prey, things spiraled out of control and eventually resulted in a duel in the middle of nexus while people went about their business normally. Things were going just as planned until he lost both hands and decided life was still worth living, and leading the Pred on a merry chase.

First they got him to the shuttle, which the pred drug him off of while he screamed at people for help, and was rescued. Then he was drug off again, further this time, and rescued once more. Cut to just north of Nexus where it happens again, dragging him further, all the way past LZ2 that time, and he was STILL rescued! And it happened again, that time to the temple, and AGAIN people came to help. The predator FINALLY managed to fight off the extremely tenacious Bravo SL and choke the life out of Blackpool some distance further north, but even in the end they stole the meat and skin back, arriving just barely too late to rescue him again.

Truly, the most valuable corpse.

At least my head and machete looked nice on the preds nightstand :p
