Reason why I don't marine: They run away and hide WAY to quickly. If they can't run in with guns that shoot 40 bullets a second, or if they see 3 runners behind them, it's immediately a retreat.

The only proper way to play a marine is to charge headfirst at the enemy and then realise your squad is too cowardly to do the same. Once, me and four others (one an SL) were outside of a captured Nexus. We'd pursued a hunter from Engineering, but everyone stopped when we got to the Nexus. The SL ordered everyone in, so I obeyed and pursued with my shotgun, emptying my entire clip to then realise no one had followed me. I died. I would not had died if my squad (including the SL) were not cowards.

I wish I had some screenshots or witnesses in dchat to attest to this. But here's my story, Takao Kamachi former WY chef and River Warrior. I unexpectedly spawned as survivor in the round I've just played, just North of the river I think. Not having played survivor for a good year or so, I was a bit overwhelmed and decided I'd had to LZ1 to see if I can break into the Nexus. After trying to break down the fence to enter the landing pad, I realized there was a runner in the darkness and only being armed with a rolling pin, I assumed I was pretty fucked. So I /me raise my hands in surrender as the Ayy says GG and I'm pounced. But for some reason, something came over me as I was being dragged and I bolted for it. At this point there was two of them, all I could do was throw punches and try to kite around their pounces. After a few goods hits, they'd manage to pounce or disarm before dragging me back to the nest. But I kept resisting, punching them and trying to get away. I though by the river plants, to give me some light as I tried to fend off the would be attackers, who at this point multiplied. Eventually was a subdued long enough enough to be taken into the caves, where it turned out a small square of dark vision in which I capitalized on to escape the caves. I kept fighting them on the river with nothing but my fists, eventually I managed to dupe them and run blindly through the pitch black colony, only a stone's throw away from LZ2 before a hunter nabbed me and slapped a hugger on my face after a struggle.

At this point I was pretty fucked, out cold with a tentacle laying eggs in my belly as I was dragged through the river. At this point I came to, and managed to fight off the ayys some more. I kept punching and kiting, trying to get towards salvation until eventually I was felled long enough to be dragged into their nasty pitch black nest. I waited in the nest, struggling to break free and looking for an opening with the resin doors while they danced around my body, and even squatting in my face before squirting acid. After awhile, I decided it was time to act while they were away. and started to smash the resin doors with my satchel in hopes to break free from my unsavory, creepy xeno-erp nightmare. But the damn xenos came back through the door, I managed to smack them a couple of times with the satchel before going down again. I fought a few more times before they put me in a soft crit with acid and then eventually popping.

I was pretty satisfied with how long I lasted under constant harassment of the xenos with nothing but my fists and will to survive. About twenty five to thirty minutes by the looks, and most of the nests were pretty empty after how much I kept their hands full during their set up. I mean, the Marines did land and ended up fucking bum rushing the caves and ended up feeding the Xenos a steady of hosts but you know. This server has taught me how to fight with a little more robustness.

Two barely functioning marines, and their minefield, held off the queen, two ravs, and some other xenos for about a minute before the round ended in a xeno minor. And managed to kill some of them, too. Amazing stuff.

i was shooting a rav beside medbay with about 6-7 other marines against the hive. it fails its charge and crashes against the wall, i manage to run beside it and slip. we just lay there for a full 10 seconds before we both got up but he still died and i took several ap rounds too.

Actually, the CE was already in the process of detonating the SM, but Alpha dragged him off, so I grabbed an MT I.D and finished his work via raising the shutters.

I dunno. I can see a standard turning on the emitter and cutting the coolers, what I'm curious is how he got it to go off quickly enough for an ayy to be hurt (w/o any SEECRET methods).

I think it was cause xenos were being pushed into Engineering and no one was aware of him trying to blow up the Engine.
Least until the mother alert came along.

As a moderately experienced engineer, who knows what sentries are capable of and has pushed them to their limits every once in awhile... This makes me sad..

Shoutout to Lohan22 and EXOTICISME(?).

Two of the most frustrating runners I've ever had to fight as a predator. Between the two of them (and a couple of xenos who I'm afraid I don't remember the names of) and across multiple lives, they almost killed me at least 3 times.

I won't deny luck definitely played its part in keeping me alive and un-facehugged.

when you try and rimworld in colonial marines...
(if you cant tell, those walls were admun spawned and they tried to space us. it failed, so they then sent xenos to kill us. that ALMOST failed when we just gave up and let them kill us)
