DIsclaimer: This story was when I was very new to doctor. I've since improved drastically, please don't send an angry mob of disgruntled marines after me.




One day, I can't remember which, a baldie griefed the SM resulting in us having to all go down planetside. This was my doctor round and I was finally starting to get the hang of how to do my job, we brought what surgery tools and such that we could (we couldn't get a nanomed and I forgot to bring a rollerbed, because again, still was pretty new to doctor). Before I went down I brought a syringe, and a bottle of soporific and spaceacillin. We're right at LZ1 and I've already got like 3 injured marines plus my out of action doctor, I was in panic mode and started treating the marines first instead of my doctor. That's not the funny part, I'm getting to that...


So since I didn't have space cleaner, soap, a sink or anything to actually clean my hands, I started injecting spaceacillin after every surgery, which most of the time I didn't even properly finish the surgery because an even more critical case came up. The marines I couldn't finish up did not get up, I figured they probably went SSD at the time or something. So much text later, marines screaming for surgery, and just a whole bunch of shitlery later... I come to the realization that I was not injecting spaceacillin.



I was injecting soporific the whole time. Those marines were never SSD, I accidentally put them to sleep and they probably died helpless after we got overrun.






Moral of the story: Never panic, you do some of the stupidest things when you panic.

I started as spec and was filling a backpack with leftover explosives and C4 when I accidently pull the pin on a grenade and almost blew myself up right at round start.

Best part was I proceeded to get onto the Rasp and had a conversation with some guys while inside my stasis bag,
"Yeah I'm missing my hands and feet and I died twice, but uhh, I'm doing fine."

First time doing SL, I actually did pretty decent. Engineering was getting overrun, they told me to throw the OB, and I did... but I threw it IN THE GENERATOR ROOM.

I was Ground Commander for the 2nd ones. Proud. The adminbus wasn't a thing... it was the marines holding so hard on west and east. Middle got pushed hard(3 main entrance sentries was beating the xenos ass and there were only few marines). Adminbus only spawn like 4-5 sentries. The first WO victory, Feweh spawned 20 sentries. Sooo

Actually adminbus was a thing. If you visited every lane, you will notice there's 5 sentries prebuilt in all the 2nd defense lines, 2 sentries in the rear and 2 sentries in front near all the 3rd defense lines, along with other pre-built sentries. Even Ordukai termed it as an Aliens: Colonial Sentry round =P.

Proof nomater how 'robust' people think you are, you still have bald moments.
I put on a snipers eyepiece, because free upgrade right? see a runner at a light, go 'yeah i'll just step and shoot and kill it' lift my sadar and then take the step... *Click* the rocket explodes point blank because i could see the tile before i moved because byond is fucky with projectiles when you can do that
Which wouldn't have been enough to kill me but the runner had two huggers and claws and the rest is history.

Stuff like that is why I get so nervous with the Sadar.

Just like with grenades, you can't corner shoot with that bastard.. I remember one time when, as an SL, my Sadar Spec blew himself up because he fired near a floodlight at a xeno.. At an angle. While you could easily shoot around it with a rifle, rocket logic dictates that angles don't exist, so him, I, and maybe another went KABOOM and pretty much gave the xenos a free kill right there.

Sometimes going Sadar is worse than going sniper, because FF with a sadar hurts marines in more ways than one.

This is my second boot knife kill, knives seem to have a high knock out statistic, as I was knocking him out every fourth or sixth slash according to the attack logs.
