This was super fun even if my BE “for getting infected” was TOTAL CRAP I woulda charged out there for Fort Wulfe primed M40s in hand if I’d gotten back up instead of ignonymous pistol to the head while still unconscious from the hugger. Still a great round, not really buttblasted, I did some dumb shit anyway and I think I was doomed to die to tanker bullet to the brain anyway. One of the few marine victories on ice I’ve seen thanks to fort autismo and half the ayys getting brought up on unlocked Alamo.

For the record fort autismo was only a little autistic until the ayys bashes their heads against it losing 20+ for no reason, that was the real autism.

- whatever -- I go ahead and start fortifying upper engineering ladder in between skirmishes as xenos poke in and out
- I get two plasteel barricades up; they're raised, and I to to place one last metal barricade in front of the reinforced table on the right
- a lurker pops out; I whip out my shotgun and start blasting it.... only to somehow phase diagonally through both the raised plasteel barricade and the reinforced table!
- "Well this is weird!"
- Shrug and keep bayoneting it from on top of said ladder
- within moments I've somehow misclicked and climbed *down* said ladder into a pack of xenos
- they just stare at me for a couple monents, completely confused
- I promptly get beaten to a pulp and nested

And that's how Charlie lost its only engineer and was condemned to fail its future endeavors that round (alongside the medic getting picked off, and other such fun)

Not exactly funny, but certainly embarrassing and bald as fuck on my part

Oh yeah, I was probably the other engie and yes I was building retard forts. 2/3rds chance that the retard fort didn't fall but aliens flanked on the Almayer. 1/3 Chance that the chad fort actually won the round for marines.

I was an SO, alongside with Carson. For first 3/4 of the round, we were ICly bickering at each other childishly. Then we banded together after we were made as slaves essentially, and got the XO drunk, declared Carson as aCo, then we got permabrigged for sedition, and then after two escape attempts, we got excecuted.

Nah no worries the only reason I didn’t shoot the hugger in the first place was I didn’t want to buckshot marines so it was clearly a valid concern. I would have allah’d for the fort given the chance but tbh it was just fun to be a part of the ultrafort.

Not sure if it counts, but whatever. On Big Red, after fruitlessly trying to rescue a marine that was getting dragged away by getting neuro'd and stunlocked, got hugged and nested. For the first time ever though, on my 3rd or so breakout attempt I actually got out without instantly being renested! And thanks to the magic of the mag harness (never leave home without kids!) I thought I had a shot at getting out.

Try to get to the FOB but I hear it's getting overrun. Had to run like a girl from any aliens I saw but managed to get to Marshall offices. Come by a body, checking to see if it has a pulse it suddenly tells me to lie down and hide. I had only gotten the 'your chest hurts a little bit' so figured I had some time for rp. Chat it up, try to convince him to join me and make a run for LZ2 (LZ1 seemed lost going by the radio chatter). Couldn't convince him, but after some more mariny platitudes I left, thinking I had a good shot at making it to LZ2 with a little luck. Heart pounding I tried to sneak my way to unsure salvation.

Que randomly bursting in some hallway despite not having gotten any messages related to it for some time, came as a total surprise. Well, that'll teach me for rp'ing instead of just getting on with it I guess. :/

The first one somehow must've got hit with a claymore while cloaking or something, and it ended up getting decapitated either by the claymore or by the ensuing marines shooting anything that looks different. In any case, the corpse and the gear was dragged to the Alamo. After a couple minutes, I start hearing a shit-ton of gunfire and plasma caster fire North in the Hangar near LZ1. OOC I assumed a marine was dicking around with the Predator's gear or something, but no. I walk in and I see another Predator in a fight with 4 marines, and it looked pretty even. Now, earlier in the round I jacked a Flamer from SL prep as a PFC and I was RPing that I wanted to torch something (Because Ice Colony is cold and shit) so the second I saw the Pred, Arson.exe booted up with a vengeance. *Somehow* I managed to get the Predator set on fire with no FF happening, and then he got hit by a lucky slug and he went down and out.

I started playing CM about a month ago and it was my first time using the Flamer in an active combat situation, so I'm not 100% sure how much I contributed to the fight, but that was just a moment that stood out for me.

There was another round I think on either Big Red or LV where after we evacced and I was in the middle of getting a new arm from the autodoc (because having only one arm as a Smartgunner is miserable), the dropship crashed and the power went out. Now, the dropship crashed in briefing if I remember correctly, I still had only one arm, and there were no engineers in sight to fix the APC. The Doc that was treating me had the legit brilliant idea of taking an arm from the prosthetic vendor or whatever and had us go over to the Brig where there was a surgery room. I was getting really tense since I could only cover him with a .45 pistol while we went through the hangar and he did his best to get the MP's to open the Brig door.

But this is all just buildup to the real hilarious moment. After I got my new arm, the CL (I think the CL that round was Wilhelm Whatever his last name was) managed to get into the Brig as well, and I don't know what his plan was, but he was apparently scrambling around to get paper so he could sent a fax for requesting Backup to the Company... as the Queen was in the next Northern room tearing apart what was left of the MP's. We ended up winning because the CO led a counter attack that killed the Queen and there were still Marines in the Hangar apparently. I dunno, just the mental image of the CL desperately trying to send a fax while the Queen was in the literal next room is funny to me.

TL;DR - CT rats out the CL for selling drugs and blackmailing the RO, CL kidnaps the CT starting a hostage crisis ending in a murder-suicide.

Today in Requisitions, I find out the CL is pushing Happy Pills through sealed crates to the RO while I'm doing my rounds on the Caterpillar. I ship the RO off to medical real hush-hush and then go grab the pills he left so I could rat him out to the brass in exchange for immunity from whatever legal shitstorm would ensue. The CO is understandably pissed off (especially since I wandered into CIC still wearing an apron and chef's hat for unrelated reasons) but at the very least thanked me for bringing the issue forward.

On the way back I come across the CL himself and a pissing match ensues between us as he makes continuously more veiled threats against me as I call him a fuckrag. After the RO is detoxxed (still slurring though), I drag him back to Requisitions only to find the CL and some weirdo SO had wandered in.

Brandishing a machete I pick off the ground, I start threatening him when suddenly the SO tackles me and the duo proceed to restrain and beat me a to a pulp. The CL drags me to his office, activating the shutters and calling the CIC to initiate a hostage exchange.

After a bit of back and forth while the CL becomes increasingly panicked as the RO refuses to bail him out (which I later found out he kept under his heel with a lot of blackmail), I goad him into torturing me like a real man. After beating my skull in for a bit and feeding me a roofied drink he pops off a few .22s to bleed me out while he runs into his shower. I bleed out in under 10 seconds, and he kills himself shortly thereafter.

On the screenshot is me, Callisto Fiore, strapped dead to the chair and the CL, Scott Tatham, with his brains blown out in his bathroom. You can see the spiked drink he fed me and the contraband holdout pistol he got from the RO as well, along with the CO and XO looking gobsmacked.

As the CMO, I managed to hold out in south hangar with a few marines, and performing surgery while xenos knocked on the barricades. I kept everyone who had a soul alive, and was even getting marines back in fighting form.
I thought it was all over but I managed to save like 6 of em.
Feels fucking good man.

Right then, this one is a bit of a doozy. I was Bravo SG in a Big Red round where there was neither a CO and only one Squad officer for the longest time. So things were clearly not going well from the get-go but the XO (I think it was William Baker) did his best to keep us organized and not dead. Bravo got TComms running and established the FOB and the other squads did their thing. The usual stuff happened but then we finally got an SO about an hour into the round: Rex Texas. A back and forth proceeded to happen for like 30 minutes: Rex called us scum and told us to go off and die, I told him to suck my colonial nuts and told what was left of Bravo to stay at the FOB (this was during the time where the Xenos are really starting to rumble the FOB). I called into question his competence, he marked me for Insub, etc. But then I lost an arm and then we were forced to evac. I then proceeded to get arrested after surgery and I prepared to appeal my case....somehow. But... that wasn't necessary, as the CMP decided to give me an NJP, which I technically did...I regret nothing:





The xenos then arrived and given that I was about to be marked for Turbo Insub I proceeded to launch my sorry ass into the fight. Somehow we won even though Bravo had only like 5 marines left and the rest of the squads took heavy losses during the LZ1 evac. I unfortunately forgot to screenshot his reaction, but Rex Texas was unbelievably pissed that I managed to survive. All in all, it was a pretty fun and I enjoyed the opportunities to RP as the Grumpy Smart-Gunner.

After a long and grueling Ice round, the dropship is full of xenos and on its way to the Almayer.

Marines are grouping up on the tank and because of the late-night lowpop, there's an impressive excess of weapons and ammunition, and they are ready to hold the ship against the alien scum.

Then, the dropship smacks down right below Landing Pad 1, directly on top of about a dozen marines, all their supplies, and the tank.
