They can only hold one. Pretty much useless in all honesty, just ask the RO for 2-3 hand grenades if you have the capacity, they NEVER go through all 100 they spawn with.

You can prime these in your hand and then cook them and throw them at the last possible second in order to instantly stun a xenomorph and then finish them off with your gun, they're quite good but can fuck you up too if you get stunned mid-prime or something.

Thanks for the tip. Maybe one day I'll be able to throw a grenade without deafening myself, right now I just panic and mash r until I drop it at my feet. Then everyone yells at me, but at least I can't hear them.

You can load two grenades into the underslung grenade launcher still. You just don't start with two.

What does the breaker box do in Big Red? I was fixing the power in Engineering and after I repaired the actual generators I stumbled over the breaker box and rewired it or something. Then I went to the SMES' and reconfigured those. I think the lights went on in Engineering but I don't know if they went on everywhere else before I did the SMES'. Are there individual breaker boxes scattered all over the map or something?

You mean by the breaker box the APC unit? If so yea, for every room there's an APC for it that charges and stores power from the SMES to light the room it's connected to.

When i try to conect to the server, appears a windows "Dream Seeker Stop Working", but if i try to conect to another ss13 server it works. ¿Any suggestion? x.x

so yesturday i found myself patroling medbay with one arm during a xeno boarding. no time for surgery :( i happend to have a loose grenade and i primed it to throw at some t2's througha window but could not throw it for some reason... ya i was that guy... was it something to do with not being able to throw it through the broken window, or do i actually need 2 hands to throw a grenade?

After priming it, did you toggle throw? Priming a grenade automatically toggles throw on, so if you toggle it again, you are toggling throw off and can't throw the grenade.

How the hell do you give people items? I have on occasion had a prompt pop up asking if I wanted to accept an item, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it to other people.

I just resorted to dragging them onto me and shoving the item into their hand.

Hold item in hand. Right click on their sprite, select them and "give".

Rest/laydown command is "rest". Type it in the command bar or press the button in the IC tab.
Player PM from player/(Larva (247)) (?): It's totally realistic to challenge someone to do boxing for a mouse trap, in the middle of a alien occupation.

Donations never open, been here 8 months now and they dont open, i guess they dont like money. :(

Okay I've got a few.
- As an alien, why can marines sometimes see me when I'm in complete darkness? Is this possible or did I just take a lucky shot?
- What's the difference between the grab and disarm intents as an alien? I'm not sure which one I should be using to subdue hosts. Also, after pouncing as a runner, do I have to use the blue or yellows to keep them down while ctrl+clicking (dragging) or should I switch to harm intent to do damage first?
- Last one, what in the hell are the big flashes that incapacitate you as aliens and sometimes marines? Are those grenades or flashbangs or orbital strikes or what?

I'm working on getting some of this stuff figured so I can hopefully add it to the wiki so new players aren't as lost. Some of it isn't on there.

You have to remember that any minor vision into the darkness can let marines spot you. A Marine entering darkness will usually have their eyes peeled on the edge of their screen or the darkness, so seeing any minor movement or change can give away your position. Even rotating can betray your position.
Sometimes your sprite might clip into a light space.
Sometimes it's just luck.

Edit: check out this guide to see a good breakdown of backdrops that will aid you even if you are not a hunter (hiding in darkness)

I'm sure someone will be able to help you more. Disarm intent as a xeno will let you tackle marines. This will allow you to continue to tackle them even if they are down or nested. You will use this intent to extend the stun after a pounce.
Yellow intent is the grab intent. I've really only ever used it as a substitute for dragging (which can just be used as ctrl+click). I might be wrong in that there is more use for them as a xeno.

Keeping a marine down is either through tacklespam (blue disarm intent), or inflicting minor damage that then causes paincrit. Knowing how much damage to deal comes down to experimentation, or having burn damage available. You don't want to hurt a marine too much, or cause too much bleeding to cause the marine to die before being viably nested.

Flashbangs do not affect xenos. Those white flashes are explosions usually caused by grenades, claymores, orbital strikes, or sadar. It could also be a plasma caster or other explosive effects.

Generally the claymore is the device that often is surprising and catches new players off guard.

if you take too much money from donations, legally they start being seen as uhhhh some other stuff that actually has much more legal implications

Okay daily question dudes - Is there a guide to the very complex injury/pain mechanics in this game? I've been scouring over the SS13 guides and reading about the medical jobs, which sort of helps, but I haven't found anything about how the basic mechanics work.

It took me awhile to figure out what was happening to my guy with the pain crits and stuff like that. I would check myself out, do first-aid, but still be gimping around, losing vision, and eventually passing out.

A guide on this would be extremely helpful to new players, as you'll spend most of your time being injured or laying in a roller bed. If there's not one already, I'll work on one if I can find the information I need.
