- Being on a space tile, in a locker, SSD, or infected with a larva all make you count as 'dead' for purposes of the alien/marine counter that ends the round.
- If you're going to Pray, try to remember to actually pray to the god you've selected in your character setup, which any of us can check via your variables.
- Moderators cannot send PMCs or any other response team / supply drop, so don't bother faxing for one if only mods are online.
- Mods can give bioscans, but generally unless it's A: Late into a round that has been stretching on for too long, B: Only a few aliens left that are avoiding humans at all costs, or C: More aliens than humans, you probably won't get one.

AP is the best tip you'll get from all of us. Hell AP can cause internal bleeding, fractures, or fuck up a marine who gets friendly fired by it. AP is serious busy, even as a marine, it'll fuck up everyone's day unless you can actually shoot straight, and use it properly it could fuck up some xenos in the process.

Don't quit the game when you're being fixed or when you've just been fixed by a medic or doctor, it's pretty annoying.

Heres another tip not to get banned, if say your in a commanding role say CO you want to be one day, or marine or whatever. Never ever ghost to see where other people are it is considered as Meta. Another tip which is obvious don't End round Grief, griefing at the end of the round is a huge no no, its not like the other servers where after the shuttle escaped or round ends they murderbone everybody, in this server you don't do that.

If you can't shoot, and know you can't shoot, don't try to shoot until you've seriously got a wide open Line of Fire (LoF) to help you practice. Not firing your weapon is actually helpful when compared to shooting your allies in the back.

Always always always hold still when a medic is chasing you or working on you. If you see the red cross, sit and wait unless a horde of xenos is about to steamroll you. Then, if the medic is competent, they will drag you away from the fight. Cover their ass while they help you.

The chain of command can make or break a marine victory, first off you need a good commander, someone competent.

Second, you need a good XO (right hand man). Slightly less important than a good commander, but still a big part.

Third, you need at least two great bridge officers, or at the very least four decent ones.

Fourth and probably the most important second only to the commander when it comes to requiring competence, is having a squad leader that doesn't end up dead alongside their squad ten minutes into an assault.

Cloned people need cryo. After you eject them out of cryo, move them into a sleeper and pump em full of dylovene/antitoxin. That way, they'll wake up quicker and you won't have to wait a minute shaking them up.

That is /not/ how bullets work against xenos, the damage is all or nothing.

Example:

Mature crusher taking shots from the front.

At close range deflect maybe 1/2 rifle shots, at long range deflect 3/4

AP rounds: At close range deflect 1/4 of shots, 1/2 at long range

Shotguns: Same as AP.

Sniper/Dragonov never deflect, and non-deflected shots always do full damage.

Crushers have their trademark crusher armor from the front, ravager armor from the side, and no or next to no armor from behind. All other xenos have the same armor from all sides.

AP rounds are only slightly better than normal against T3 xenos, and shotguns are a lot less dangerous to allies.

If your ever injured don't put up the " I'm fine" act or they will let you bleed out. If your injured and you know it, get a medic and stop fighting.

Since this is apparently a big problem.

Alien players, NEVER cover the rasputin/pod or the elevator on icemap completely with resin.

It bugs out atmos and ruins the entire round, so now that you know, don't do it.

I suppose I'll drop a few tid bits here as well.

For one, communication is key. As an engineer, don't just go building random shit without letting the others know. If your job is to secure the FoB, talk to the other engineers and your SL and work together to build something useful. As a medic, I find screaming out "MEDIC HERE" when someone calls for a medic is a helpful way to lead them to you and let them know you heard them. As as a standard in general, just sticking with the SL and LISTENING TO HIM helps loads. Nothing is more irritating then when some asshole fucks off to rambo despite not being ordered to in the slightest.

Another tip of advice is WATCH YOUR FUCKIN FIRE, and also to WATCH WHERE PEOPLE ARE SHOOTING. Never assume a person is just firing a single bullet in a direction, always assume it is 3 or more. It is one thing to get hit by friendly fire, but another when some dingus walks into your bullets while you are laying down suppression. I had that happen at least once, and it is annoying. People tend to move erratically in this game, which makes FF common, but you can still try to stop that by not getting trigger happy and making sure the shot is true before firing off a few. Otherwise you are just going to end up getting a reputation as that guy who can't control his trigger finger.. Or in the latter case, the guy who runs into bullets, which is just as annoying.

And lastly, try to avoid using intents like harm all the time. Unless the situation calls for it, there is no reason to set yourself to a stance that causes travel issues for other marines. Blocking the way when someone is trying to get through is gonna get you a lot of hate, whereas if you set your intent to help, you won't end up pushing people around and being a douche. The only time it is a good idea to use an intent other than help is when you want to keep your place in the RO line and when you are in a heated battle with xenos and have plenty of room to move about.
Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.

Nope, still exists, but be careful, by the time you might already find out it might be good idea to get them after seeing a screech, ya might be in a nest.

LZ=one in security
Sulaco=firing range
Ice-colony=Don't exactly remember where, but i think there is some in some checkpoints, you gonna need to check the entire map, but i think you can get like, 3 or more.

I think earmuffs deafen you on an interval, so you can be affected by sound sometimes. Not sure if queen screech can get through though.

For you aspiring cargo players, here's a few tips to greatly reduce your use of points while upping the amount of supplies you can send down to the battlefield.

1) You can get infinite UGL's to send down to the troops below by field stripping pulse rifles in marine prep then click and dragging the pulse rifle back onto the marine prep, restocking the pulse rifle. The next pulse rifle that comes out will have a UGL attached to it; rinse and repeat.

2) You can get near infinite amount of metal by recycling service pistols in marine prep. Put them into the USMC backpacks that the vendors can also vend, then put them into a crate; drag that over to cargo and put service pistols into the autolathe. You can now vend pure metal sheets in batches. Bonus points if research is doing its job and has super matter bins and a nanomanipulator so you can upgrade your autolathe to make more metal + faster.

3) Need ammo? Flares? Helmets? Marine prep is your friend! Most marines don't grab everything out of it at round start hence at least one vendor is completely full (except AP; AP is taken almost all the time). Fill up ammo rigs with spare ammo and put it in a crate; flares in the crate and helmets in the crate as well (stocking everything but the helmets isn't metagame, but I was told stocking helmets near round start is metagame, so be careful with this).

4) Bored? Need an excuse to go planetside? Cargo has very little points and / or your on downtime? Well you have a legitimate excuse to go down to the planet; reloading ammo! You can restock empty ammo by click and dragging it onto the marine prep vendors on Sulaco, but you need the empty ammo itself to do that. And guess where all the empty ammo is at? Planetside, of course!
