If flinging as much shit as possible at a player is taking neutral stance, that's too kind of you, thanks.slc97 wrote:Please don't try and fight me on here. I took a neutral stance.
Funny that you mention that, because killing something that keeps distracting you from following said orders(which I usually get defending the FoB) is that bad, then why don't we just allow aliens take FoB's over anyways?slc97 wrote:The role of a squad leader is to relay the orders of higher up command to the marines on the ground and enforce those orders. When squad leaders decide that they are just going off to hunt random bad guys, even if they are bringing their squads, they are not following the orders given by command. Now this is not to say that SL's should be mindless drones. They should be personalized, even a little rebellious at times, but no one would ever be promoted to Staff Sergeant if they cannot follow orders.
So you have to keep telling command what they do, what they eat and how they dress, instead of leaving a report that this type of enemy attacked you and that you're dealing with them now? Really now? If a marine gets attacked lethally, it's declared hostile, it's already reported and are about to be taken care of if seen or formed a team to deal with them.slc97 wrote:Also, beyond the hyperbole of 100s of reports, command had little to know reports of this incident that were distinguishable from reports of xenos except for humanoid.
I think we can all agree on that one, but it won't fix the issue of so called "validhunting" and "powergaming", because this is a medium RP server after all, everyone's playing to win and for fun, and some people have fun hunting things such as predators to get their gear.slc97 wrote:Finally, I think we could all do to speak a little more kindly and with a little more respect for each other when it comes to more hot-button issues like this. Getting angry at each other is not going to solve anything. Maybe apply Feweh's new do unto others rule to bigger forum issues like this.
