Well, that's what xenomorphs do. They DO kill and infect everything.
But they're SMART and don't throw themselves at a proverbial brick wall to die unless they heavily outnumber the opposition. That's why in the movies, you see aliens sneaking around, probing defenses and seeing what's there to harvest.

Yea I see what you mean.NoahKirchner wrote:They are smart, at least the queen is and all of her subordinates listen to her. But they're not civil in any sense.
On the topic of smart aliens, do you think it would be out of character for a queen to surrender when the majority of the hive dies? I suppose she wouldn't know if the humans would spare her or not, and probably just die fighting now that i think of it. But MAN I'd love to see WY capture a queen one day!

That seems like it would take way too long to be effective.Voldirs wrote:In the previous round I saw another funny tactic by ayyyyyyys

"Memories can be vile. Repulsive little brutes, like children I suppose. But can we live without them? Memories are what our reason is based upon. If we can't face them, we deny reason itself! Although, why not? We aren't contractually tied down to rationality. There is no sanity clause. So when you find yourself locked down in an unpleasant train of thought, heading for the places in your past where the screaming is unbearable, remember: There's always madness. You can just step outside and close the door, and all those dreadful things that happened, you can lock them away. Madness... is an emergency exit."

I would love to see them do that to a smaller building, if anything then for the situation of "Command, Hydro doesint exist!"Voldirs wrote:In the previous round I saw another funny tactic by ayyyyyyys

You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Re: Aliens and metarushing: Should we slow down?
melting down too many walls isnt necessarily a great move, as xenos. leaving some intact to sneak behind and take cover behind is best. unless you have a stack of boilers ready and theres no snipers or cas left.
ive seen people complain in deadchat about marines "metarushing" the tablefort and caves and stomping out the xenos, but i feel this is mostly due to sloppy xeno leadership being too eager to confront marines in the open at the river/tablefort the moment the fog drops and being shocked when they remember that bullets can hurt. well, that combined with the fact that xeno gameplay is so unpopular that there can easily be more ssd larvas than active xenos at certain times of day

Re: Aliens and metarushing: Should we slow down?
This is COMPLETELY true. I went queen last night and spent 15 minutes trying to get my xenos to fall back into the caves where we could easily win. We would have won on the open field but this way was much easier. We tricked the marines into thinking we were retreating and lured them to the sand temple where I came out of a door, screeched as two boilers threw acid, and we took out the entire attacking force. It took 3 minutes to do this while the open field tactic would have taken so much longer. Aliens need to learn to use their advantage in tight spaces to their advantage. I always try to stop the aliens from fighting on the river if i canmisto wrote:I've seen people complain in deadchat about marines "metarushing" the tablefort and caves and stomping out the xenos, but i feel this is mostly due to sloppy xeno leadership being too eager to confront marines in the open at the river/tablefort the moment the fog drops and being shocked when they remember that bullets can hurt. well, that combined with the fact that xeno gameplay is so unpopular that there can easily be more ssd larvas than active xenos at certain times of day

Re: Aliens and metarushing: Should we slow down?
I personaly stand for drawn out skirmishes, prettymuch everywhere north of river. Because then ays like me can simply decimate the marines in the colony and most marines who have a bone broken and try to medevac will end up dead, then if the skirmish goes on for a good hour the marines will soon find that apart from a few marines on the Sulaco they are all that is left, the ays have them surounded and the only source of supply will be supply drops which need atleast half competent req staff for it to work.
The draw in to kill doesn't always work and if the marines are cowards they will just retreat once they have 10 dead marines from an assault and now you are the one that has to attack them in their autism fort.

If you ever wonder when did I really start hating incompetent people read Crab Spider's signature... I was that CMO.
