Guuuuuuuuys, what you don't understand is as a support role, especially medic, you should NEVER be on the front lines, UNLESS you need to do quick treatment on a dying patient. SMGs were made with medics in mind. Engineers, usually are alone so you can take tha gyro but medics should never need protection.

Technically, yes. In reality, with how the game works, you can't afford to lose the DPS by having the medics completely out of combat. It just does not compute. They need the same amount of firepower as everyone else not for their own sake, but because everyone that can fire weapon should be doing it as hard as possible when facing high-tier aliens. It's better to add that one rifle to the firing line and kill the crusher than to splint broken chests from his charges.

Disagree soooooo hard. As a squad medic, your job is to keep your squad up, which means you follow them and treat them so that they can stay in the fight as long as possible. You shouldn't be standing infront of your squad mates, but you should be close enough that if one of them goes down, you'll be able to quickly drag them to safety to treat them. The only medics that should be in the FOB are the ones in the squad assigned to FOB duty. And thats why medics need gyrosCasany wrote: especially medic, you should NEVER be on the front lines

You just disproved your point there. You should never NEED a pulse rifle or shotgun because you will, or should, never be unprotected. Even near the front lines you should always have one guy with you which, if the medic is doing what you say, he'll have plenty of people around him/her. So use a god damn SMG!UltimateShrekFan wrote:As a squad medic, your job is to keep your squad up, which means you follow them and treat them so that they can stay in the fight as long as possible. Hey guys, this topic is really getting off topic, we might wanna bring this whole "Are SMGs good or not" discussion elsewhere.
Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.
