Xenos Should Metabolize Chems

Per subject.


Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):

Realism. Chem actually might have some offensive and debuff value vs Xenos instead of being pure a heal/buffbot and grenade manufacturer.


Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):

Have Xenos metabolize chems again. You can replace obviously broken effects (like Chloral/Soporific KOs, QuikClot instadie OD) with useful but less degenerate ones (toxin damage, slowing, confusion, hallucinations, regeneration negated, plasma regeneration negated, plasma drain, darkvision/heatvision disabled, etc) for Xenos, explained by differences in physiology and how their bodies process these chems.


Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

Minor coding changes.

On May 17, 2016, a group of farmers dug up the diary of an ear of corn named Watson. Here are his entries.

Day 76:
They took Lawrence, dear god Lawrence... They ripped him off the stalk and smeared him in butter, just like Tyler and Jodie. They shipped him off to the popcorn factory...
I wonder what his wife will say.

Day 120: My brother says the VEGANS are protesting for more anti-meat bullshit. They want more of us to die. FUCKING HEATHENS.

Why? Syringe guns are gone. To get a xeno with chems, you gotta manually inject, or use a short-range chemsprayer, or a smoke grenade. Those aren't THAT great delivery methods.

How about making a list of MINOR TO MODERATE symptoms you'd like to see added for chems, things like limited regen to slowed movement, but no INSTASTUNS or gibbing, and assigning those at random to existing chems? That'd give value to a captured ayy, as well.

And reagent transfer is unreliable as hell. Seriously, I've tried to actually get hit by the spray to effect a reagent transfer actively and have failed on many occasions.
