Tried to vend myself a welding helmet at engineering as colonist, tried all the wires, none of them let me be able to vend a welding helmet. The Changelog only says that they Dummied down the vendors for all access and throw inventory wires, not sure if I am just stupid or something.

Can someone help me figure out how the new wire changes work and how to get them to work a colonist? With the buffs to xenos the only survivable option right now is to hide in a locker but I don't want to play like that. Given there's only one helmet in the map that can protect against a hugger, getting a welding helmet from engineering from the vendor is the only other source of protection against huggers

Some aid would be nice, thanks!

That's the all access wire. There isn't one anymore. What this means is colonists can never get welding helmets ever again unless they revert it. What the update changed is that the wire that allows anyone, ID or no, to use the vendor when you cut it, was removed.

He is telling the truth, there is no way to enable one as of right now

No more having marines hack every vendor for all access as this was never intended and became a thing every round.

I kinda disagree as this basically makes survivor, the already almost unplayable role, impossible. Survivors will never survive again

It wasn't done EVERY round. It was something that was occasionally done, and I also don't see the problem with engineers giving everyone access to the med vendors brought back from the LV-624 med dome, especially if there are none/incompetent/dead medics.

I think dead colonists should have IDs with different access that survivors can loot. Plus survivors should have access to things that belongs to their job if they don't already.
