Changing your Playstyle

Post by Biolock » 16 Dec 2016, 08:24

This isn't readily brushed upon very often, but what do you do of you no longer want to play the way you preached that you intended to play in your application? It's been quite some time since I have been accepted, and I've played several hours, if not days, as a predator. With that, my gamestyle has changed as well.

For instance, when I first started playing I was all about the hunt, the most notable predator experience of hunting something down and taking a trophy, however I find myself rarely doing that now adays. Recently I've found way more fun in luring single or groups of marines into preset booby trapped locations (my character still plays by his 'farsight' construct) and attempting to capture at least a single one of them, forcing the rest to flee or die and become a trophy. The single one I capture I then force into slave labor. I've found that this method of gameplay (while resulting in death more often because it's harder to capture than kill) is both more rewarding for me, and more fun for the players involved.

I suppose my question is; how much do you believe it is acceptable to change your name/ playstyle? Most players could probably just do it and no one would notice/care, but in the event this ever became a problem, I'd like to get answers out in the open.

Also... could predators please be given a few boxes of handcuffs on their ship? It makes it incredibly difficult to capture good players when the only way to move them is forcing them into paincrit without killing them.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

The lore is different from the implementation in-game. Alterations are fine to a point; You don't completely overhaul your playstyle.

I never expect anyone to play as they do in their application.
Don't feel restricted by it, you wont be punished if you said your predator was quiet and he suddenly talks a lot.
