Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Allow a method to dismantle floor tiles into metal.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
Gives a way to revert mistakes and potentially to make the areas marines are(n't) defending even more barren.
QoL improvement.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
A marine can either:
A) Weld the floor tile (x number required).
B) Activate the floor tile (x number required).
C) Dev's discretion.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
Base yourself on metal rods or metal sheets I guess.

Dismantling floor tiles
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Re: Dismantling floor tiles
You can do this by putting them in an autolathe.

Re: Dismantling floor tiles
I actually want a mean to do it on the spot, since you get a lower return on your metal in the autolathe from what I remember.
Plus, autolathes aren't widely accessible. I don't want to ship 40 crates of floor tiles to Cargo saying "METAL PLZ" each time just because I need more.
Plus, survivors would be happy.

Re: Dismantling floor tiles
You probably get a lower return because there is always bits of metal that can't be reused.

Re: Dismantling floor tiles
I know, but I still wish for this suggestion to take place despite the obvious fact autholathes are an alternative.
Survivors, marines and a lot of crewmembers could use the small benefit and on-the-fly method. Even if it returned even less than what the autholathe does.

Denied. Use the authlathe or count your tiles.
