Childhood: Murdoch was born to Adalbert and Margaret Machowicz with one sister, Grace. He is described as a boy often frustrated due to his constant stuttering as a child which prevented him from getting anything across.


Teens: Murdoch is caught in a serious car crash which punctures his right eye at 18, buying an eyepatch to cover it until he had an operation
the next year. He still owns the eyepatch to this day.
At 18 on April 5, 2164, Murdoch is given 2 twin daughters with Lauren Machowicz(née Barberi), Sarah & Alice Machowicz. He moves into an apartment with his girlfriend while they marry in order to help with the new financial situation.

Adulthood [This will change depending on what role I am]
Marine Role: On November 17 2165, Murdoch and Lauren end up divorcing and due to multiple legal offenses on Lauren's side, Murdoch ends up getting custody over his 2 daughters. He took up a trade as a ship engine mechanic and at 27 would start his own business. His children would occasionally visit their mother & stay with her. When asked about his relationship with his children Murdoch said, "I was close with my first daughter, Sarah. I got to spend alot of quality time with her, while Alice was more secluded... me and her weren't very close,"

At 2183 Murdoch was again alone when both of his daughters turned 18 and moved out. He continued to work with his small business and trade until June 21 2183, when Murdoch volunteered into the USCMC and took the basic 6-month training required. He passed his business on to a business partner and stayed in the Colonial Marines. Murdoch said his reasons for joining the Marine Corp as "I was so attracted to the thought of service since I was a kid, especially after the incident in the Tientsin Campaign. I was just about to join right there until Sarah and Alice were born." I'd been holding onto the thought for years and business wasn't my dream job."

MP Role: 3 days after Murdoch's children are born, he joins the local police force in his home-town and after a month's training is accepted as a rookie in 2164. Over the years he shows promising experience and is accepted into the galactic space force as a Sergeant, and with the new pay-roll moves him and his family off of Luna into their own family farm on Mars in a small colony. Here he and his wife spend much of their lives raising their daughters while Murdoch patrols the inner Solar System hunting down mercenaries, space pirates, and criminals through-out the solar system. He also took part in a raid during the July Martian Worker's Rebellion in 2184, having boarded a hijacked cruise ship and arresting multiple key members of the Martian insurrection. During this event he also states his farm was attacked by a mob of rebels which he fended off with the help of 5 Colonial Marines. Murdoch says this was one of the key factors that pulled him toward working in the USCMC.

Europan Communist Rebellion: 4 weeks after completing his training, Murdoch was deployed to a colony on Europa, where a Communist revolution had taken place and now spread across half of the installations upon it. The operation was about 6 weeks long, in which he had survived a torpedo explosion on board a submarine and saved 3 of his squadmates including the staff sergeant and an extra 3 soldiers from the sinking ship. He was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for his actions.
The operation ended when the leaders of the revolutionaries were identified and promptly assassinated, to which the rest of the rebellion was destabilized. Murdoch spent 2 weeks inside a colony named Sontu City until his next operation.

Siege of Zegema: The siege of Zegema was when a distress call sent from a colony was responded to by the ship that Murdoch had been stationed on at the time. The marines were stuck inside a walled-off settlement where they were fighting against a native tribe that had been living near the colony. Murdoch was nearly killed when a C4 explosive randomly discharged and trapped Murdoch inside a collapsed house for 2 weeks, where he lived off his military rations before being dug out by a group of colonists scavenging the rubble. The concrete had shattered his right femur and broken his right arm along with shrapnel stuck in parts of his face. He was promptly medevac'd to a hospital on the planet and stayed there for 3 months recovering.

Terra Gnoma Rebellion II: A colony-wide revolution that succeeded the first one where the Subject was deployed. Murdoch was constantly kept on the front-lines fighting rebels when he was shot twice in the buttock and twice in the leg by a CLF guerilla. He continued to fight after being wounded and was later treated for his wounds, returning him to his prior combat effectiveness. After the 6-month long rebellion was put down Murdoch was given a Purple Cross for his wounds.

Plague of Shiri 84: A fungal parasite infecting colonies on a moon named Shiri 84 where the USCMC were dispatched to quarantine the infection. The subject has stated the operation has given him nightmares and "odd, tingly, creepy and jittery feelings beyond describing. It makes my whole body spasm just thinking about it... jesus," He has largely refused to talk about this mission, though activity reports of his assigned company show he was mainly deployed to burn down quarantined villages and execute infected personnel.

Martian Worker's Rebellion:Afterwards Murdoch was deployed to curb the 5th workers' rebellion on the colonies of Mars, though spent most of his time there behind the lines shipping supplies back and forth. Often recalls a moment in which the trail he walked to carry supplies was bombed and he nearly burnt alive in an upside-down lorry.

Physique: The subject is 6'1(185.42cm) and 170 lbs.(77kg) Greying black hair, heavy stubble. Eyes are brown.
Persona: The subject is relatively talkative and occasionally snarky in conversation, as well as oppugnant to others though usually in some comedic form. Despite this he shows extreme concern for his squadmates almost as a protective parent, and is generally friendly to others in his squad. Machowicz also has a visible grudge against foreigners, especially Russians. He has been known to occasionally mock Russian soldiers with vocal disdain for the UPP, Communism, and Socialism.

Caryl 'Hail' Bernhaben: I know this guy. Me and him made a fort together once and just sat there for the rest of the op. He was pretty helpful through-out the whole thing and kept me alive. Good at building competent forts.

Jools Kirby: He seems decently robust, and can take a good beating in combat for how short the little guy is. He's reliable. I hope to work with him again.

Linda Clark: She's a nice person to know. Put me together many times I was cut up like bread.

Mary Mays: My ex-battle buddy. Fought many battles with her.

Jackson Dee: A reliable man. He's much more mature than his peers which I respect.

James Dee: Says he married Jackson's sis and took her name instead of the vice versa. Called him a cuck, threatened to shoot me with his SADAR. That's how we met. In hindsight not a bad guy.

Frankie Day: He's shown to perform well under stress and hectic situations. A good leader. I'd follow him.

Garth 'Nurse' Pawolski: A renaissance man. He's done medical, engineering and leading, good at all of them, especially engineering I'm told.

Adan 'Digger' Howard: My accomplice in the corps. We've beaten, shot, ran from and killed many things together. Sometimes each-other.

Lother Jones: My second accomplice. The abusive ex-father of Adan. Had to help him reconcile with his past. Beer any day with him.

Ysabel Buttersworth: I worked with him a lot. He would do the chemo-therapy on the suicide cases and I'd hold the patient down. It was quite fun but perhaps illegal. I liked it though.

Always good to see cool backstories for the men and women around me, I always love reading the ones that include operations they've been on before getting to the Sulaco, provides good context for the character type.
