Flamenwerfer Snowblower

Post by Eenkogneeto » 01 Feb 2017, 14:21

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
Allow flamethrowers to melt layers of snow on Ice Colony. Evening out the whole 'xenos work as snow plows while marines cant even shovel a 5ft area in under 5 minutes'
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
More opportunity for pyromaniacs to indulge, More tactics on Ice Colony, Less time spent digging an area out of snow. More FF.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
If a snow tile is on fire, act as if it had been shoveled down a layer.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):
I was told it could work by a coder so I have made a suggestion. I'll leave it up to them to figure out how it actually works.

As someone living in a rather cold climate, with frequent chances to shovel my property... These marines must have skipped gym. For several years. Or have the the shoveling technique of a three year old.

It would be an easier way to secure an area or FOB, don't see why this couldn't be accepted, It doesn't sound hard for a dev to code It anyway.

Plus this is also a mini-buff to xenos since your using up your precious fuel on clearing snow instead of using it on valuable T2's and T3's like elite hunters and mature crushers.

But being able to clear out snow so there isn't as much debuff to walking around your own FOB is a definite + 1 to marines, so please do this.

Then there's gonna have to be ice that slips Marines! Physics my ass! +1
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Also lacking in replies but mostly I should ask if this is even still relevant, I abstained from playing on ice for too long to really know anymore.

This is still relevant, as xenos are still snowplows, and marines still take 4 years to clear one tile. plus, with the flamer being buffed so people actually use it again, this is a good idea, and with the nerf to the capacity, the aforementioned Marine nerf/xeno buff :
Swagile wrote:Plus this is also a mini-buff to xenos since your using up your precious fuel on clearing snow instead of using it on valuable T2's and T3's like elite hunters and mature crushers.

becomes more powerful, marines have to choose clearing snow V potentially harming/ killing a xeno.
cant +1 again, but yeah.
