Xeno rule change
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Edit xeno rules so it is against the rules for a larva to leave the hive for no reason (exceptions are if the hive is being destroyed/they are on the sulaco)
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): So I queen a lot... larva keep dying out of the hive, found it odd but figured they must be bursting, then I come to find out its a bunch of stupid larva trying to sneak on the shuttle. Its stupid, annoying, a waste of larva, and pretty meta.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Edit them rules
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Kinda hard to enforce... but if you see a larva thats outside the hive for no reason be like get there, if they dont RIP

Re: Xeno rule change
It Is already on the "anti-meta" rules. If a moderator sees a supposed larva trying to embark the Rasputin/Dropship, he shall PM the player, advising him to stop immediately from trying to infiltrate the Sulaco. If, It Is obviously happening before a planet-evacuation. Hope I helped you. To clarify things here, this isn't directly connected to the rules, yet, Apophis and other high-rank staff members already said and indicated many times this action as a metagaming example, meaning that It Is not "Okay" to do It.

Re: Xeno rule change
+1 But it's easier to make a rule 'don't cross the lake as larva" for LV and "don't go to ground level" in snow. And some times its salty dead marines that want to mess ayys round.

Yeah ive noticed people who main marines go xeno just to cuck the dead players who actually want to play xeno by doing suicide charges as runner / larvae.

Re: Xeno rule change
Too many variables to make this a rule, like what if a larva burst far away from the hive etc.
We already yell at xenos that we see on the frontline, its basically already being enforced.

Re: Xeno rule change
We could always make exceptions to the rules, this could work as one If a larva Is unlucky enough to burst on a place full of marines, or, simply Is trying to hide In a seat because she just bursted In LZ1. Your 'variables problems' could and would be easily fixed by a simple and single PM.Feweh wrote:Too many variables to make this a rule, like what if a larva burst far away from the hive etc.

I still think This Is already In the rules somewhere

Problem is we try not to add rules that have too many variables associated with them.
Larva having to remain in the hive has so many that it's often justifiable for a larva to not be in the hive.. a few examples..
Bursting outside the hive, hive under attack, unsure of hive location, killed trying to get back to hive due to the rule and conflicting current hive orders.
As of right now, we just enforce this shit by job-banning stupid players that we see run to the frontline as a larva.

Re: Xeno rule change
Hm, I can see your point about having too many variables In a single rule... If the PLAYERS and the Staff enforce 'that shit', Certainly It will already be a great advance about these types of accidents that could potentially happen. Still, I think those variables could have exceptions by not being so harsh.Feweh wrote:Problem is we try not to add rules that have too many variables associated with them.

If you stay thinking for a while about how to change them In the right way, the variables could go to a less amount but, let's make things easier and just enforce It for now.

I see this happen ALOT, even so far as seeing people in dchat boasting about it.
'If I kill all their larvae then they lose, so just suicide charge with them :/'
