A forum game! Escape the city - interested?
Okay so a long time ago on another board I participated in a pretty fun, light forum game where all the players were basically collectively playing an adventure book.
If you haven't played an adventure book or don't remember what they are, it's when you are the protagonist and you make decisions by turning to page 84 or 301 or whatever.
Anyway this forum game was played similarly but with a horde of people - you come to a crossroads and do you turn left or right?
Well everyone who picked left got turbokaflunked by a fire breathing ravager so they are now out of the game.
If you picked right (geddit) you survived, and you will be given another multiple choice question alongside your fellow survivees.
The setting would be some non-canonical planet in the Colonial Marines universe, in a city which has currently undergone a xeno outbreak. You would all play as civilians desperately making it to the landing pad where the last evac shuttle is taking off, whilst running from the ravenous xeno horde.
You'd be moving as a big group together to make it easier for me. Nothing too serious and no stats or anything, it'll just be me setting the scene and you choosing A, B, or C. After a few days I'll organise who went where and make a new post saying who moved onto the next round, etc. There's room for some roleplay but it doesn't have to be serious.
There's no tldr, just read it.
Post if you're interested. I'll run this regardless of numbers and just be more lenient towards smaller groups.

On a different board, I homebrewed and ran an Aliens RPG. Players were the marines. They investigated a ship that was transporting xeno eggs, as it turned out. They got fucked, barely made it out. Was a lot of fun. Long time ago and I've learned a lot as a designer since, but it's hard to balance because the alien universe requires death, and as a RPG dying and being left out isn't a ton of fun.RedsPro wrote:+1 Aliens DnD sounds great
Aaaanyway glad to see some interest.

Alright this seems like a good amount. I'll go ahead and make the SIgn-up & OOC thread. This can be archived or removed or whatever the procedure is on this subforum.
