Tablewarfare: The Resin Boogaloo
Xenos can infact flip tables back into position by clickdragging them onto their tile.
Xenos can also flip tables in their OG position just like marines, also by clickdragging.
Boilers and spitter castes can safetly shoot over tables flipped into the right direction, and be protected by them.
Using the enemy cover and converting it to your own can help you survive at the front lines longer as a warrior caste.
My fellow xenos, I suggest that you all practice this new flavour of "Tablewarfare".

Inb4 Marines stop using tables and convert to racks and girders. (good luck dumbasses!)
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

I hate that moment when the engi keep making random table in front of metal barricade and then a crusher come to flip it facing our side

Recently tried this as a Rav some rounds ago, ran under cover of gas, flip the metal table to face their side, cue gas flying past all defences and marines being confused as they shoot wildly. I'm expecting dead chat salt as I do this more. Hah.

Re: Tablewarfare: The Resin Boogaloo
I see I'm not the only one that does this.
It is great for when you are a spitter, able to spit at the enemy from cover while they get all confused as to why you aren't flashing red. Bonus points if you don't hug your cover and they hug theirs.

I personally find this to be abuse of a mechanic that is kinda dysfunctional and dislike people that do it, but hey go for it my dudes.

This is probably the one thing that strains my SOD about xenos. Cutting tcomms is understandable, dragging away dead bodies acceptable, murdering infected hosts is ok.
But seven foot tall murder machine just flipping over a table to use it as cover is hilariously immersion breaking for me.

Troublesome, as usual.

I can imagine Xenos flipping them down, but up for cover? A bit silly.nerocavalier wrote:This is probably the one thing that strains my SOD about xenos. Cutting tcomms is understandable, dragging away dead bodies acceptable, murdering infected hosts is ok.

Also how come strengthened reinforced tables can still be flipped over? Makes them slightly useless. I imagine this is fine as a punishment for marines that don't weld their defences but now Xenos flip them as well!

I gotta agree, this seems not very intended on dev part, its preety annoying to have it flip back onto you and block all bullets because a runner clicked it once

Or you can literally put one rack behind it and the entire thing is unflippable. Not hard.

Racks make SADAR's useless currently.Dapper Stache wrote:Or you can literally put one rack behind it and the entire thing is unflippable. Not hard.
Which is very bad if you have 2 or more SADAR's about to fire right behind a rack.

Re: Tablewarfare: The Resin Boogaloo
You misunderstand. I mean only one tile of rack for like a 10 tile table. As long as there's at least one thing behind a table it can't be flipped, no matter how long the table is.Swagile wrote:Which is very bad if you have 2 or more SADAR's about to fire right behind a rack.

My view on reinforced tables has changed once again, though is there a point to streghtening them at all? Does it give them more hp?

Weakening basically makes them like normal tables, so you can flip them and then make them back into reinforced tables, which take quite a lot of punishmentTheMaskedMan2 wrote:My view on reinforced tables has changed once again, though is there a point to streghtening them at all? I won't stop using them though, I'll just be packing the old gyro-mag harness shotgun loaded with buckshot to deter adventurous bugomorphs.

I like to pack a suppressed burst SMG, everyone Xeno underestimates me... and then I kill a boiler and a ton of runners at the same time i'm stuffing someone's intestines back in.Carmac wrote:I won't stop using them though, I'll just be packing the old gyro-mag harness shotgun loaded with buckshot to deter adventurous bugomorphs.
