Life is Feudal: Your Own!
If anyone is interested in playing life is Feudal, I picked it up last night after Feweh got a coyp. We have been learning it, and anyone who wants to join us is free to.
We are playing on this server:
[US] OGC RP/PVP|2/26|EVENTS|ECONOMY|MARKET| Active GMs
They have a website I'll post "soonish"
http://lifeisfeudal.com/
Clarification; We're playing the Life is Feudal: Your Own
Not the MMO version (yet)

We spent 4 hours last night terraforming the ground just to build walls and a stable.

We've been in a couple of fights so far, going well.
Server is pretty good for beginners too since skills are set to level up quickly.

RIP if you guys get hooked on this game.
I'd join but I've already put in my time in the salt iron mines. Waiting on the MMO if it ever gets finished.

UPDATE 08MAR16
So, from now on, I'm going to use this post to help co-ordinate. For each day, I'll add a slide which will have the previous days update, the Days Goals, and the "ever-growing" Chore list that need to be done to keep us "functional".
UPDATE:
We currently have a monument that has around 14/15 tile radius.
Forge+Anvil done
Monument has around 300,000 points, so it should extend quickly and not need maintence for a few days
DAY GOALS:
We need some minor terraforming done behind the eastern houses (which are scheduled for demolition for the new stone house today)
We also need some terraforming on the "north" side on the opposite side of the hill. Specifically, some layers of "fertile soil" for some short-term farming.
Produce Iron Tools
Create 3 Chests (for storing Ingots)
3-5 more bark boxes (to be used for temporary storage)
At least 50 apples > 80 quality. We need it to start feeding/breeding chickens and rabbits for a more stable supply of food, which will also allow us to start increasing food quality, and thus Skill modifiers, as well as taming.
Level Farming > Everyone should try to get to at LEAST 30. Do this by "gathering edible plants" under the farming tab on green dirt tiles. Put anything you grab into the bark boxes near the cooking pot.
DAY CHORES:
HUNTING: We are getting DANGEROUSLY low on food. Someone needs to go hunting and bring back game meat. Preferably several hundred, for processing into Fried Beast (if you are going to process it, find a nearby tree of at least 80 quality and grab branches as the result will be higher with higher quality branches and meat).
Apple Collection: We need to start stockpiling boatloads of apples. They are a necessity for breeding and maintaining animals, as well as taming. Start stocking up on them
TIPS TO QUICKLY LEVEL:
Construction: Grab a ton of sticks, and add them one at a time (using shift-click) then click add resources. Make wattle fences until you reach level 15. Once you hit 15, go get 160 rocks. Then, make a forge and anvil (from construction) somewhere on the claim that isn't in the way. Add the rocks individually, and use add resource. This is how you will get to 60.
Farming: Best method is to use Gathering edible plants (as this produces useful items for us). Second best method is to gather silk worms from Mulberry Trees.
Natures Lore: Gather Plant Fibers. Like, hundreds. I suggest setting yourself to do it, then checking every few months to ensure you didn't stop
Materials Preperation: Turn gathered plant fibers into rope. This can get you to around 30. After that, Charcoal.
Artisan: TERRAFORMING. If you need somewhere to terraform, we need to eventually level the top of that hill behind us to a 9x9 for our "wooden keep", so you can always go there and start flattening/leveling.

He means 'Gather wild plants' ,'edible plants' falls under Nature, and to do this you need to craft a sickle, then you'll want to follow his instructions and try it on the green outlined dirt tiles.apophis775 wrote: Level Farming > Everyone should try to get to at LEAST 30. LiF: 09MAR17 Update
We've got a LOT done today, special thanks to Karmac for ensuring that we will be pretty set for farming once we bring in the "test" harvest I planted a day back (he spent like, hours gathering wild plants). According to MrFeudal, it should be growing todayish. If it doesn't, I'm not sure what we'll do. Also, everyone should start thinking about what they want their Tier3 specialty to be. With 1500 points, we'll be able to have everyone master probably all T1 and T2, but specific people will specialist in a few T3s. But we wanna make sure there's overlap.
UPDATES:
Monument is around 15 tiles still, but it's upgrade process has started. occasionally ask in Global if anyone has Silver, Marble, or Granite for trade and find out what they may want. We need: 2 Shaped Grant, 2 Marble Slabs, 2 Silver Ingots. If it's something easy/reasonable, go for it. If it's something a bit more difficult, make a post in the communication group.
We now have Chicken Coops and I dumped a boatload of chickens/rabbits into them. Sorry whoever's house had to get removed for it, but housing shouldn't be a problem much longer because:
THE STONE HOUSE IS NEARLY DONE. What we still need, are around 100 building logs. Use place them inside it, but do NOT click "add resources". If you aren't able to level mason, you'll just be wasting experience someone else can get.
Apples, are now primarily for Chickens/Rabbits to eat. We have a ton of 60 quality Fried Beast. NOTE: When you first eat (if you are hungry) it WILL lower your food bonus. This is not because of the food, but because the food multiplier lowers IF YOU ARE HUNGRY (to prevent you from starving yourself and eating a ton of level 100 food to boost the multiplier). 2 Fried Beasts should put you at around 100 food and give you a multiplier between 1.02 and 1.19 depending on if you were eating components (like apples, potatoes, etc) or "complex" meals. "Soon" I will have advanced cooking, and then we'll have really good food to eat.
DAY GOALS:
PRIORITY: STONE HOUSE!!! We need BUILDING LOGS (Like, 100 of them). This is going to be any annoying process. Equip yourself with only a Saw, Axe, and Shovel. Look for hard-wood trees (less than quality 80 if possible). If you can, remove any sprouts from the tree so we can have them for later. If you can't, then DO NOT CHOP DOWN TREES ABOVE 70 QUALITY. Chop down the tree. Then, click "Saw building logs". Bring them to the stone house but again, do NOT click add resources if you do not have the ability to level Masonry. You will just burn XP and lower the house quality.
SECONDARY PRIORITY: PROPER STORAGE. We need to get PROPER REAL STORAGE setup. Best would be to get some crates/chests on the ground in the crafting area. Don't put them too close to objects that frequently have to be dismantled and replaced.
TERITARY PRIORITY: HUNTING. We currently have around 30 fired beast. That should be enough to keep us for a bit, but we'll need more food soon. For now, don't eat until you are around 20-30% hunger. Then, eat 2 fried beasts and you'll get a nice bonus and totally full.
ADDITIONAL GOALS:
Produce Iron Tools
At least 50 apples > 80 quality. We need it to start feeding/breeding chickens and rabbits for a more stable supply of food as well as start taming. I want to try to get a horse or two in the next day, but I hear we need a shitload of >80 quality apples to get anything good. So if you see a good apple tree, grab it's sprouts, harvest it's apples, and throw them in a box.
Level Farming > Everyone should try to get to at LEAST 30. Do this by "gathering edible plants" under the farming tab on green dirt tiles. Put anything you grab into the bark boxes near the cooking pot.
DAY CHORES:
Apple Collection: We need to start stockpiling boatloads of apples. They are a necessity for breeding and maintaining animals, as well as taming. Start stocking up on them
Charcoal: We are DANGEROUSLY low on charcoal and we are burning through it at an insane rate. We should try to get a stockpile of around 40 charcoal if we can.
Mining: We need more raw Iron to get to be able to produce Iron tools.
TIPS TO QUICKLY LEVEL:
Construction: Grab a ton of sticks, and add them one at a time (using shift-click) then click add resources. Make wattle fences until you reach level 15. Once you hit 15, go get 160 rocks. LiF 10MAY17 Update
Lots of progress on the house. It will 100% be up tomorrow. Once it's up, the huts come down to get replaced with more useful buildings. Our next building goal: WAREHOUSE.
We need to start trying to negotiate for what we need.
The Stone house is NEARING COMPLETION. For the next step, we need boatloads of iron and some glass for the doors/windows. Once they are set, it'll be DONE.
Apples, are now primarily for Chickens/Rabbits to eat. Don't eat any apples above 60 quality. There's a bunch of Fried Beast. Remember, the first time you eat ANYTHING you're modifier goes down (due to hunger) it'll cap out around 1.09 with the fried beast we currently have.
The crops MIGHT be harvestable around 4am US Central time. DO NOT HARVEST OR TOUCH THE CROPS. I will take care of them when I get online as I need to see their specific yields/qualities for my farming maths. Additionally, I planted another set of crops in the fields I plowed/made today. They should be able to be harvested at: 8PM Central Us Time On Monday March 13th, assuming our experiments work.
Also, i'm drafting up a new storage plan for once we have the house. I'm expecting that "edible" food will be in barrels and ingredients will be in chests near the cookery. I'm hoping to have Fancy Cooking within the next day or so. I wanna make sure we get max skill bonuses from more complex meals.
We should be at the point now, where instead of "tearing down" everything that breaks, we simply repair it. Me and Kavlo should both have the ability to create repair kits soon (I currently can).
DAY GOALS:
PRIORITY: IRON AND CHARCOAL. Chop down ANY nearby trees that are grown that are below 80 quality. Use lower quality trees to make charcoal, higher quality to make the pieces for the doors. We need to get iron cookin as well.
SECONDARY PRIORITY: WEAPONS AND TOOLS. We were slightly challenged yesterday. Pretty sure the guy wont' screw with us though. He has a horse and lance, but we have tons of crossbows. However, we'll want to start on weapons so we can start getting armed. - IF YOU GET IRON TOOLS OR WEAPONS, DO NOT LOG OFF WITH THEM. PLACE THEM IN A STORAGE BOX FOR OTHERS TO USE. Once we have supplies to outfit everyone in iron tools you get your own set, for now they are shared.
TERITARY PRIORITY: HUNTING: Unga Dunga we need food.
ADDITIONAL GOALS:

Level Farming > Everyone should try to get to at LEAST 30. Do this by "gathering edible plants" under the farming tab on green dirt tiles. Put anything you grab into the bark boxes near the cooking pot.
DAY CHORES:
Charcoal: We are DANGEROUSLY low on charcoal and we are burning through it at an insane rate. We should try to get a stockpile of around 40 charcoal if we can.
Mining: We need more raw Iron to get to be able to produce Iron tools.
TIPS TO QUICKLY LEVEL:
Construction: Grab a ton of sticks, and add them one at a time (using shift-click) then click add resources. Make wattle fences until you reach level 15. Once you hit 15, go get 160 rocks. Then, make a forge and anvil (from construction) somewhere on the claim that isn't in the way. Add the rocks individually, and use add resource. This is how you will get to 60.
Farming: Best method is to use Gathering wild plants (as this produces useful items for us). Second best method is to gather silk worms from the nearby Mulberry Trees.

Re: Life is Feudal: Your Own!
Tip to quickly level Hunting, right click on the ground, and in the hunting tab right click on 'Track peaceful animal' to set it to default, then just spam left click until you get to about 30 hunting, which is when you'll start to be better off making snares and traps to level it up.
Garth Pawolski, or is it Powalski?

Re: Life is Feudal: Your Own!
Well, we decided to take a few weeks break.
Once I get back from Arizone on April 4th, we'll look into a new server.

If you want PvP tips, I play that since its out, litterally, and I kept kicking people ass including russians, (even if I'll have EU ping, but still.)
