Summary: If a marine is hit in the head by a bullet, they have a chance of getting knocked unconscious for a short amount of time. Additionally there could be a larger chance that if a marine is hit in the cranium by a bullet they drop whatever they're holding.

Benefits: Add some more immersion and FF mechanics as getting hit by a bullet in the brain case is serious business.

Details: When a marine is smacked in his melon by a bullet there is a chance of either getting KO'd or getting pseudo-stunned and dropping whatever you're holding. The chance for getting KO'd would be much higher if the marine isn't wearing any protection on his thinking noodle.

One bullet can already break your head if you are unlucky, this is unnessecary at all, the FF is already harsh enough.

Already, RNG can decide to knock you out in one hit during melee and fuck you over, and in firefights shots can miss at close range arbitrarily.

-1, do not need more RNG in combat.

+1 If you're FF'd you can avoid further injuries and pulled away safely.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. Ayyliens got too much stuns allready, they dont need extra stuns from ever present FF -1

This place would be so much better if marines were replaced with cyborgs, atleast those would follow orders. assuming there was a rule forcing them to do so...

-1, one the griefs could knock out an entire squadren if the response of admins was slow. Headshots are already terrible with a helmet on. Without a helmet you would get a broken skull, paincrit and you would be at the will of xenos. There is no real positive of this.

- we get some more ways that the player themselves can partially 'avoid' friendly fire.
OR
-Some of the brute force of head damage via FF missed shots is turned into a chance for knocking out the person instead. That i could go behind.

Yah, on full review, putting in a knockout/stun mechanic for friendly fire which would substitute killing them outright would be a +1.

something like,
if in walk mode, player has a 20% chance of miss, 20% of stunned, 10% knocked out, and 50% hit full on.
compared to the current (hypothetical) 20% miss, 80% hits you full on.

I think headshots are already punishing enough. No real reason to add this to it, unless there are some changes to the system. Denied for now.
