What if xenomorphs appread on earth in late medieval Europe?
Would the aliens be able to wipe humanity off the planet?
Or would balistas, crossbows, and helmets that could proboly stave off say....5 huggers without even starting to get damaged be able to stave off the alien memace?

Honestly, I believe the xenos would be able to wipe out Humanity in the medieval era. Aside from the militaries available being too primitive to stave off an alien horde, I also think the fact that medieval fighting was often large groups of men vs. other large groups wouldn't help either; ie the tactics of the time couldn't help.

Xenos could easily nest thick forests or something and just pick off the troops 1-by-1 guerilla style, or hive smaller fiefs and harvest the populace. Though, I do believe the standard of living at the time would somehow slow down the spread of xenos...

How would a fucking cavalry charge against xeno warriors go though?

Considering that very little of the populace (read: nobles) would even have access to the best equipment of the medieval era, yeah, we'd be fucked.

Xenomorphs would push our technological progress and force the Europeans to form relationships with neighboring civilizations. As we understand their life style, civilians would , regardless of gender or age, be thrusted into military lifestyles to combat this threat. This does not mean we'd be able to reclaim dominance over Europe however, as the xenomorphs would ultimately impregnate the native wildlife and make the matters even worse, both number wise and in terms of sheer versatility.

Cannons would be in constant demand, but this will contribute to an ever dry reserve for the metal. Without Charles Mendeleev, we would have no understanding of chemistry or the periodic table of elements, not that humanity would live long enough to make it to the 1900's in the first place. Without chemistry, we would have no way to neautral us the -1e-10 pH blood (-1e-10 = -1 billion, far stronger than hydrochloric acid) rendering our need to use ranged weapons even more important.
