Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):
a motion tracker like in the movies and lore
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole):
help the marines have an IDEA of where the aliens are if they are behind a wall or help find survivors
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
I think how this would work is if you have a motion tracker (which would be available to leaders and/or specs) and something moves in the dark, it should either
1: sound a ping
2: create a little 3x3 square of where it MIGHT be (this could be random so expect ANY of the 9 squares, not just the middle) preferable even through the walls or even when the xeno is in the vents, refresh every 2-3 seconds?
3: both 1 and 2
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

Nice idea but this will never get put in. Calling it now.
The MAN, The MYTH, The LEGEND, https://youtu.be/1kXU14hkuSI.
That one old man that USED to run around as Engineer building retarded table forts and developing relationships on a questionable level with sentry turrets. Now I run around as someone equally stupid, doing equally stupid shit as a Medic. Oh and Pookie, that's also me.
http://prntscr.com/grdigl I totally succeeded in that btw, it was a badass kick-flip.

This actually was a thing in Pre-Alpha. It lagged to Hell and back.

Re: Y U NO MOTION TRACKER
There were actually a couple different suggestions related to it (http://colonial-marines.com/viewtopic.p ... on#p122449)
So the idea is still going, its just being cooked up in the background by Top Men i hear. (hehe, nah, but they are top of the line)

Gaze upon me,
for I have wandered deep into the ancient tombs of knowledge to which lie madness and sorrow, cleansing a path for all those who walk behind me...
...
But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!
~Furthermore, I consider that Floodlights should no longer be destroyed.~

Re: Y U NO MOTION TRACKER
From what I recall, it was rather heavy upon the server having one of those out, whilst tracking the mobs within a radius around it in pre-alpha. Constantly checking for them, so unknown if they can optimize it or not, but that's likely why they were removed before we went to where things are now.
Whilst It may make sense for the squads to have some means of recon to radar, keeping them advised of some things be it wildlife or unknown movements which likely would fall under one of the assumptions, be guarded about whatever is found as you don't know if it's hostile or friendly. Move in to identify or be cautious as they approach to figure out what's been detected, advise the rest of their team once it's been identified so they can resume standard operations/objectives within Area of operations. I wouldn't wish for that to heavily lag/impact the server, upon high population with everything else.
If they're able to refine the motion tracker's design to be less taxing, could see it return, but if not that probably will be the end of the topic for now. The suggestion to have it return is nice, just uncertain how it might go currently.
