Guan kv'var-de (Night Hunter)
Byond ID:
Finefire984
Marine Name (so we know who you are, if you play alien mostly, state that here):
Michael Carrio
Name of the character you want whitelisted (The name your predator will use. This must match your in-game predator name):
Guan kv'var-de
Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor?
Yep
Character background (A very BRIEF description of your predators background):
Guan kv'var-de was a very quiet Yautja. He spend most of his time watching his fellow clan members hunt. He payed more attention to his elders than the other clan members. He love the way they gracefully hopped along the trees and fought with their wrist-blades. Guan kv'var-de strived to be like the elders and would always practice what he learned in an attempt to master the movements. To stand out Guan kv'var-de always tied a bright bandana on his head and would practice near the elders during the day. However, he always preferred practicing at night and working on his stealth. He did this days on end and got better. One day, the elder picked him and multiple others that were ready to be blooded. He agreed and was really excited to be on his first hunt. He knew the elders were going to be watching and he wanted to impress them. He told the clan that he wanted it during the night since he always practiced at that time. They agreed, but told him he would need to hunt alone. He accepted in attempt to make the elders notice him for his bravery. The clan took an alien they raised and used it for the hunt. They chose a weak, but strong looking alien to be used.
The alien was released into the woods and ran away in fear. Guan kv'var-de started hunting a half an hour later with weapons the clan no longer used. It was a bitter and rainy night. He jumped on the trees to give himself a height advantage and slowly jumped from tree to tree trying to be as stealthy as he could. Twenty minutes passed and he started to get impatient.
-russle-
"What was that sound?" Guan kv'var-de said.
He looked around and saw the bush to his right moving around. Curiously he watched to see what was in the bush. Suddenly, the alien hopped out and slowly walked away looking out for the Yautja. It's skin was the blackest he's ever seen and had a faint shine from the rain. It's claws are sharpened and it looked very powerful with it's stance. Guan kv'var-de jumped to the trees a few feet in front of the alien and took out his wrist-blades.
"I have you where I want you. All my training has come down to this moment."
He waited until the alien was right below him and pounced at it stabbing it in the back. Green acid blood poured out of the wound burning his hand. The alien struck back pushing Guan kv'var-de on the ground and giving him a nice cut in the chest. Guan kv'var-de struck one last time and hit the alien in the neck finishing it off. More blood came burning his hands even more.
"You were a worthy hunt. You fought well and I applaud you for that," said Guan kv'var-de.
He took out his short sword and cut the head off for a trophy. He felt a sense of joy knowing all the training he did payed off. He went back to his clan in victory and was burned by the acid in the head making him blooded. Guan kv'var-de's love of hunting during the night gave him the name Night Hunter. Now he hunts with his clan and still strives to be like one of the elders.
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)?
I'll fight with wrist-blades and traps only. I'll spend most of my time scouting and keeping marines from traveling alone by scaring them away and possibly hitting them once with my weapon. I'll hunt the side that is losing and tar get the strongest I can find to impress the elders. Alien will be juged by their tier and maturity. Marines will be juged by their techniques and kill count. I'll be willing to fight any marine in a honor duel if they request it. I will change the way I play if necessary.
Why should we whitelist you?
I've played CM for a while and played Aurora station enough that feel I've improved with RP. I always try to make the round better and fun for everyone. Also for a staff point of view, this would allow me to help players that are new to pred learn the ropes.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)?
No
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why?
No
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor?
Yep

Re: Guan kv'var-de (Night Hunter)
I see a few flaws, but mainly grammar. You tend to use the wrong tenses in places and spell a few words wrong here and there
Then there is the Yaujta lore. When Yaujta become blooded they hunt in a group of three at a pre-designated place and time. So that's something to note
Playstyle is generic, same as most other Yaujta. It's hard to get a unique playstyle but it's possible
I also am gonna question your maturity and your ability to roleplay. I've seen your char maybe twice and he hasn't left good impressions
Lastly, I think you need to post more on the forums, get yourself known a bit better
For now I'm gonna go with a -1 based on what I've seen. I replied early tho so you could fix a few mistakes

Ello', umm, so Casany brought up a few valid points, obviously no one is an amazing writer, and I get that, though I feel the backstory didn't have enough. It didn't make me feel as you were dedicated, as this character was a "Character", if anything it's just describing most other predators, except hunting in the night, big woop (Sorry if I come off rude). My point is, I don't feel your predator is their own, they fit the detail of most other Yautja, also another lore flaw is "Rusty Wrist-Blades" which, I'm pretty sure, wouldn't rust, considering they're usually within a sheath, also manufactured out of most unknown elements, I doubt Yatuja would manufacture such flimsy weaponry. Another point I might add, is how you perceive the blooding hunt. I feel as if you make it out to be a whole individual thing, when in reality, it's more of a event, where the Clan-Leader/Elder see young-bloods whom they think are ready for the hunt, and go off onto a distant planet, of course, there's not always a group of young-bloods, that's fine. You make it out as if they let a vicious dangerous Xenomorph onto their clan's "Home" planet, which would be inaccurate to the lore I might add, if you possibly added detail to that point, perhaps you could've done better.
I can see you tried with this application, and I respect that, but I think you should work a little harder, make an application that impresses people, not just yourself.

Re: Guan kv'var-de (Night Hunter)
Thank you for telling me some things to fix. For the maturity, there are some rounds that I use to try to have fun. I don't do it as much now, but before I became a staff member I would do things like make a hassle in cargo to purposely get mps involved and give them things to do. I'll also keep tryin to post on the forums more. There just isn't anything for me to post on the forums.Casany wrote:I see a few flaws, but mainly grammar. Thank you for telling me some errors. I fixed the wrist blades and made the hunt more of an event. He still hunts on his own, but the story says why. The alien is also explained a bit more.shyshadow wrote:*Waves Politely^

Re: Guan kv'var-de (Night Hunter)
The backstory was pretty okay. Had a decent sense of who your character is, but it had one major problem: Xenomorphs are referred to as serpents by the Yautja. Sometimes dragons, or hard meat, but never aliens. Gameplay was also okay, though I think you'd find it hard to use only the wristblades as it stands now. I'd normally go with neutral, but I am either going to up or down vote from now on, so that's a -1 from me.

Re: Guan kv'var-de (Night Hunter)
A few personal grievances here...
Casany made some valid points, but my issues are knowledge of lore, and playstyle.
Besides that? Some minor lore issues, and a little grammar, but I'm not too judgy on that. If this is denied, I'd say spend more time thinking of a playstyle, because your backstory is good, but...just need something more unique for how you play to get attention.
Neutral, just giving my inpute. Good luck from here on.

This right here, is a problem. It seems unfair to base your playstyle on this. I know, hunt the strongest, who's the best, yadda yadda so on so forth. I really try not to offend, but that is very cookie cutter, when compared to other amazingly thought out playstyles, and the fact that you intend to hunt whoever is losing ontop of that...Finefire984 wrote:I'll hunt the side that is losing and tar get the strongest I can find to impress the elders.

That's supposed to say winning. I would attack the winning side to even the round out.CrimsonAerospace wrote:A few personal grievances here...

Denied, this isnt up to predator standards.
