Ammo storage replacement!
Ammo Vests
"Is he cereal? this is coroniul meuhrensz! not rel melitury"
Hear me out, plenty of militaries store ammo in vests. Storing magazines are usually found in the vests, and sometimes on belts. Since we can't store belts in backpacks, ammo is going to be scarce. I don't know anything about coding or iconing, but it's pretty much be a holster attached to the uniform with 4-5 spaces to hold ammo. Just an idea.

Continued actions may result in loyalty chip activation, as well as the implementation of Politically Correct subsystems. We don't want that, now do we?

Um, unless the newest update is changing this, you can currently put a belt in your backpack, I usually carry an extra belt if I see someone didn't take theirs and stock it with M41 mags so I can hand out ammo if people didn't bring enough.supernamekianpenis wrote: Since we can't store belts in backpacks
I didn't realize we had patch that prevented this. Looks like it's back to carrying a box full of ammo or dragging crates.

Formatting is your friend...
And Heinrick is right , you can put two magazines of ammo (or even a pistol and a magazine) in your armor.
A combat-jacket wouldnt be a bad idea , tought.

I usually don't run out of ammo in game (I only carry 4 mags for the M41A). When I do, I enjoy it. It means I actually have to look for it.

I'm aware you can store ammo in your armor, but it's only two magazines. i store flares in there usually, incase i get hived or FOB needs light.

As a medic, space is always a concern for me because I need to carry a lot of shit. Engineers have a similar issue. Being able to carry my pulse rifle ammo in a webbing vest, freeing my belt slot for more medicine would make me a very happy medic.

Wellllll, i don't mean to 'suggest exploits' but I think you can fill up your box with ammo? But i'll +1, so we can have a way for people other than standards and leaders to be able to carry ammo.

It might be neat if there was some type of streamlined way for squads to share ammo. Like tossing a mag at a friendly soldier could cause them to catch it.Dabbster wrote: Wellllll, i don't mean to 'suggest exploits' but I think you can fill up your box with ammo? The standard is supposed to be the squad member doing most of the fighting. Doesn't it make sense that he gets an advantage over the engineer and the medic in ammo and item storage? Otherwise Standards have nothing going for them.

We can have more space on the armor, maybe 5, it's a good number.
Please limit what can be carried on the armor too.

Give the option to take webbing in the armor slot rather than armor. Make marines choose between protection or sustained fire.
I believe if the player you're throwing an object at has throw toggled on, they'll catch the object.SecretStamos (Joshuu) wrote: It might be neat if there was some type of streamlined way for squads to share ammo. Like tossing a mag at a friendly soldier could cause them to catch it.

Throwing at someone with the throw thing toggled makes you catch it.

RE: Ammo storage replacement!
No.
Reasoning:
If your a rifleman/leader, you should be carrying spare ammo in your backpack and belt
If your a medic, you should be fairly limited the ammo you carry, as your job is to stabilize and transport wounded, not kill aliums.
If your an engineer, you should be focused on hacking doors, and restoring power to areas, again, not killing the aliums.
Typically, when I'm a medic, I carry an SMG with 2 mags, and a .45 with one mag. Everything else, is medical gear/equipment to stabilize wounded.
As an engineer, I typically carry the same thing. I have my toolbelt, and in my backpack are 2 batteries, some metal, a spare welder, then my SMG ammo.
If your not a standard or leader, you have a specific job that you are to do. If you need spare ammo, ask for one of them to give it to you.
Besides, you don't know what's going on, and shouldn't be carrying enough ammo to take over a small country anyway.
