Make a metaguide describing what standard training all marines have

Post by Sidriel » 22 Mar 2017, 00:29

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): in colonial Marines, there's just some things everyone can do. Anyone can mold metal into girders, repair the power, hack doors, etc. I want a guide describing what standards can and can't do.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): This would fill some holes as well as define the blurred lines regarding the more obscure elements of the game.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Everyone who reads the guide would understand limits from only having standard training.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Whoever is responsible for writing, get on it.
unga dunga me want peridaxon.

We'll probably work this into the wiki page for Standards.

Standards can't:
-Use spec weapons
-Perform any sort of surgury unless its done with via stabbing someone to death.
-Hack any sort of equipment
-Power up the SM reactor

Standards can:
-Understand heath analyzers
-Understand injectors
-Understand advance trauma/Burn kits
-Use basic generators

Add on as needed

for I have wandered deep into the ancient tombs of knowledge to which lie madness and sorrow, cleansing a path for all those who walk behind me...

...

But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!

~Furthermore, I consider that Floodlights should no longer be destroyed.~

PLEASE!
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

I am John "Buckshot" Rhodes, the Tactical Snowflake Hunter

As I mentioned the guide in question has already been made, the link I handed out should take you to it.
