Muzzle Huggers
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Add muzzle code to huggers.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): More masochism and realism.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Much like my gibbing xenos suggestion, I had a spark of sadism and thought "What if people couldn't talk while wearing huggers dead or alive?" and so I had to make this suggestion. Add muzzle code to dead/live huggers so people can't chit chat until it falls off or is taken off.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Add muzzle code to hugger code.

Never has Deso been so wise as he is right now. IT makes perfect sense when you figure you got a giant tendril down your fuckin' throat.

I had an idea to put some goop on the comm radio if someone got nested, but this seems interesting... +1
Gaze upon me,
for I have wandered deep into the ancient tombs of knowledge to which lie madness and sorrow, cleansing a path for all those who walk behind me...
...
But seriously, does uh, anyone know the way out?!
~Furthermore, I consider that Floodlights should no longer be destroyed.~

Re: Muzzle Huggers
To be honest, I never understood how you could still talk and see with a hugger on your face.
This would be a very fitting adjustment to huggers.

Why don't we just make escape impossible while we're at it, since this would essentially be a stealth update that makes it so.

Huggers fall off.Swagile wrote:Why don't we just make escape impossible while we're at it, since this would essentially be a stealth update that makes it so.
Once you're captured, yelling at your squad to come save you won't do jack shit to help you escape. Normally because the xenos put you in their hive. You shouldn't always be able to escape captivity, but even with that said, you can escape captivity without being able to talk. It happens all the time because nobody is coming to save you. From the point you are captured, to every other marine, you are a lost cause. Saving 1 or 2 people doomed to die while losing four more is not a smart tactical decision, regardless of who you're saving. If you escape, great, but yelling at your squad isn't going to increase or decrease your chances. This argument doesn't really make sense.
I am still, however, going to -1 the suggestion. Just because it'd be sorta boring to sit in a nest unable to talk until the hugger falls off, as much as it would /technically/ increase immersion. I still like to panic and what-not, but it's hardly a nerf. Just removes things for nested people to do, and they already don't have much for the roughly 5 minutes until they burst.

Also, this would disallow you screaming "X LOCATION IS NEST HALP"; you might not get saved, but now marines know where hive is, and on maps like Ice Colony this is MUST KNOW information.

Sure, that's another valid point, but it's not at all an escape nerf.Swagile wrote:Thing is, it falls off near the time your about to burst.
