Favorite survivor tactics

What do you guys like to do when you play as survivor? The most I ever see other players do is break into security, grab a weapon, then hide in a locker until marines come.

Grab a toolbelt and a welder mask, head up to cargo and grab the metal and plasteel,weld into secure storage, grab the weapons and hold out until help arrives.

I usually do that because it works, ain't seen anyone else do it.
With the fog wall, I now can't do my original strat which was grab the metal and plasteel from cargo, head up to NW caves and start mining out the place and holding out, usually to the end of the round.

In my first Survivor round, I accidentally dug my way into the xenomorph hive. I hid amoung the corpses In the west nesting chamber until a marine found my starving self two hours later.

new fog makes being a survivor more suffering as the tunnels are placed around the good hiding spots. So when I go survivor my first step is to get a welding helmet, and a tools. Getting hugger protection is the only way to survive. Then it's to the nexus armory to see if I can snag a revolver, or shotgun. If I see another survivor I'll buddy up with them and either cut into the armory for meds / c4. Or keep moving as if you stay in one place you'll often get three or five xenos melting down, or smashing any defense you make to kill you. Then it's time to get murdered by your rescue party as they kill you because you wont' disarm, walk you into a turret without having someone shut it down, or OD you on every autoinjector they can stick you with.

Probably a bit power gamey, but I like restoring power to science and tossing up some hyperzine and synaptizine in the dispenser there. Works great for a quick getaway, if you spot the xenos before they spot you anyway. Nice to grab a hypo and replace most of the tricord in those with a syringe as well if you restore power in medical as well.
