Bug Description: Xenos devouring dead corpses. I'm pretty sure they're not supposed to do that.
Steps to reproduce:
1.Grab a white screened dying marine
2.While still grabbed wait for the marine to die
3.Proceed to devour the already dead marine due to still pulling.

This can also be done on a critical before they die and wait for them to die at an accelerated rate in your stomach, never to escape.

Yeah, this is kind of a shitty thing, they can slash you repeatedly and start devouring, and when you die or are in white-screen death, they devour you and bam, you are now a corpse in their stomach they probably won't be releasing.

Re: Devouring Corpses
Is it really a bug to devour critical marines? It is essentially a different and riskier way of killing. Though I can say the devouring of dead corpses does happen.

Its not really a bug with critical marines, but its 100% a bug to do it with dead corpses...which might be unfixable unless they can make it check at the last second if the corpse is still alive or not.TheMaskedMan2 wrote:Is it really a bug to devour critical marines? Re: Devouring Corpses
The corpse can just be forcefully ejected on death if it's been devoured.

IF it has been there for a short time, after some time, the corpse just dissapearsSailor Dave wrote:The corpse can just be forcefully ejected on death if it's been devoured.

Re: Devouring Corpses
Obviously, if you devour a critical Marine and they proceed to die, they're already devoured. They don't even need to time the devour to cross over the Marine's actual death for this to work
Will need a clarification to know if this intended behavior or if Marines/creatures who die while digesting need to be ejected instead of getting mulched

Re: Devouring Corpses
Fixed, the code now checks if the marine is not dead after the wait period.
