Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): So I was thinking, one of the major features for the CL's role is communicating with WY HQ. When there is no admins on (or admins who don't respond) a major feature of playing CL is gone. One solution for this is an automated response, depending on what's asked and how it could be programmed. This would give each game some more diversity and roleplay in my opinion.
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): The CL would be able to communicate with command staff in game saying something other than "No response," and could say something like, "the arrays report there is a problem with communicating with WY HQ at this time," or "WYHQ is currently busy responding to other issues," etc. It would add more options and balance to the marines each game, as well as a more fun CL role.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):
My idea for this would be implementing forms in the CL's room which he/she would have to fill out, ranging from supply requests or requisition points, requests for a PMC team, etc. The supply requests would be programmed depending on some ratio of active/dead marines to living/active xenomorph players or something similar to add balance, which would result in denial or acceptance of the request. The supplies would be sent aboard the next supply shuttle. The benefits for this would add more balance to marines each game, giving them more options, espiecially when requisitions is low on points or incompetent, of course this would have to be balanced in some manner so it wouldn't be too unfair or overused to the marines advantage each game.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Various unfilled forms preprinted in the CL's backroom.
Corporate Liaison Supply Request Form
Corporate Liaison's Name:
Reason for Request:
Importance of Request (1 to 5) :
Corporate Liaison's Signature:
Could result in a response along the lines of "USS Sulaco Communication Arrays are unable to communicate with WY Headquarters," "Request accepted /denied," etc.

CL is an RP role.
For the love of god, stop sending faxes and expecting staff to respond to give you shit/give you special permissions.
Communicating with WY via FAXES is NOT a major mechanic of the Liaison, it's a bonus feature that'll potentially yield something cool here and there.
Create your own roleplay situations, will notice it in-game and be more inclined to respond.

Still though, faxes create roleplay situations.

Yes they do, but thats the lazy way of RPing.sw4gbag wrote:Harsh, but you're right 100%.

90% of the people who go Liaison sit around send 2 faxes saying "This Liaison Bob whats my mission!?".
Then complain at end round that Staff never responded to them.
Dont do that, create your own RP situations and will notice.
