Today, I had the pleasure of playing 3 games of colonial marines on the human side, each one involving the xenos amassing numbers so mind shattering large that it scares me...
In all my time of playing here, I have NEVER seen xenos reach the 40 member mark before, let alone 3 times in a row. Even on normal high pop, it was expected for xenos to reach around the 30 mark, but 40?
Is it really because of the Easter weekend that we are seeing larger swarms of xenos than historically possible, or marines been getting really sloppy lately? Because this scares me man.

Re: The day of Xeno armies
The Xeno Horde is coming, until summer...Summer is coming the time of baldies. The day there might be 50 xenos even, though this frightens me the most, as you tell it roughly eh 30ish mark maybe like 32 at most times. That unholiness, that evil number of 40; it frightens me, may the Colonial Marine have Mercy on us marines. Quick question, normal high considered? We speaking maybe 100+, 120+, or at the mark of 150?

Long time ago, I, Ka'Torag-na Halkrath, Skilled Master Hunter Of Prey, Unleashed an unspeakable evil upon Xenos and Humans! But a foolish Xeno Hunter wielder of robustness stepped forth and opposed me. Before the final blow was struck, I tore a gate of Salt of Solitude and flung em into the world of CM, and took out their Facehugger Capabilities! Now, this Xeno Fool seeks to return the favour, and undo my evil reign and of many other predator predecessors!

Re: The day of Xeno armies
Was in a game with 60 xenos before.
Thankfully I was on the Xeno side after dying early to a Carrier rush.

30 aliens on a Sulaco assault is a near guaranteed xeno victory no matter how many marines and friendly ERTs are called. 40+ is madness.

Re: The day of Xeno armies
What I love seeing is how Xenos tactics just instinctively change the more there are, they become more swarm like, while still being individually dangerous, they are more pushy, and if you leans back and watch these huge teams, they are ruthlessly efficient in their slaughter, I swear it is like watching a scene in a movie when it gets so high. I absolutely love experiencing that as a Marine because it is so mind shatteringly scary running from so many and the Rasputin is taking off and the Xenos are smashing windows and dragging people out!
Ahem.
Though on the other side, just today I saw a round. This is first deployment numbers. 112 Marines. 13 Xenos. 21 Braindead Larva.
Moments like that I feel bad for the Xenos.

I think this is what happens and what was supposed to happen, marines joining xenos after death with xenos infecting 95% of the marines and all the map's monkeys...

Better than the bad old days, i remember one round there were 70 marines and only 7 xenos, because noone would join as larvae the entire round..

Oh yeah if we get around the 30 mark on the xeno side its funny watching hive chat pretty much saying we are going to winTheMaskedMan2 wrote:What I love seeing is how Xenos tactics just instinctively change the more there are, they become more swarm like, while still being individually dangerous, they are more pushy, and if you leans back and watch these huge teams, they are ruthlessly efficient in their slaughter, I swear it is like watching a scene in a movie when it gets so high.
