Hugger Overhaul

Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Add fix to huggers so people can't be shaken awake while the hugger is on their face, add muzzle code to huggers so people can't talk while wearing a dead one, add acid spray to huggers as well so melee attacking them sprays people with acid, add chance that trying to remove a hugger fails and instead breaks the person's skull.

Edit: Possibly make huggers need surgically removed? Increase egg laying time outside of a nest by a lot more than what it is.

Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Immersions and negating a bit of hugger powergaming marines do. Might be helpful to input when hugger combat goes away.

Adding fix to keep people asleep as long as the hugger is alive should already be in imho but it isn't and the meta is to shake people awake so they can kill the hugger on their face. This would negate that a bit.

Adding muzzle code to huggers is for obvious reasons. You can't talk while you have a giant alien monster fucking your throat, alive or dead this thing still completely covers your face and has a big egg laying tube down your throat. No bueno.

One other meta, I know I'm personally guilty of, is to move near eggs to open them then slash the hugger. Add the xeno acid spray to huggers so when they get melee attacked, the defining xenomorph defense mechanism will try to keep people from indulging in this egg clearing hugger cheesing meta.

The skull breaking one may be a bit overboard on paper but canonically people die when huggers get taken off so a chance of failing catastrophically is canonically friendly and let's you keep what semblance of canon breaking you already have.

Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Tons and tons of labor but it'll be much worth.

You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. This is going to be absolutely fucking destroyed by everybody. It also breaks the suggestions rules in more than a few ways.

I'm fine with all of this, but only if there are a LOT less huggers, like have the eggs cost like 900 plasma. Or hugger combat will give me salt overdose. Making huggers more lore friendly is fine, but only if there are less of them.

The admins ruled that shaking Marines awake and getting them to knife/hit off the hugger is not a bug and is allowed in game.

I think this is the case because the developers are working on a facehugger overhaul, and it would be much easier to just let people wake a facehugged marine up and continue to work on a new system instead of expending developer resources and time in fixing the issue while delaying the hugger overhaul.
