Improved Chain of Command
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary): Presently when you ready up as your Marine combatant, you enter the game as the same rank, there's nothing different about it and you know what you're going in to. You play the game casually, and eventually, your squad has been thinned to a bunch of Squad Standards. Mind you, they're all PFC's and Command needs a new guy sporting the B11 helmet to be Overwatch's eye in the sky, and squad leader.
The idea is, what if more ranks could be used that could establish an improved chain of command, because we have plenty of them on the wiki that are untouched.
Here's some examples:
Squad Standard: Private(This rank doesn't get enough love.) - Lance Corporal(This rank doesn't get enough love.)
Squad Medic: PFC - Corporal
Squad Engineer: PFC - Corporal
Squad Specialist - Corporal - Sergeant
Squad Leader - Staff Sergeant - Sergeant First Class
Maintenance Technician - Corporal - Tech. Sergeant
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole): Well for one, it helps decide who's to lead the squad, or be in charge of another person within their department. Because right now, it's been narrowed down to this, in regards to the hierarchy of the squad.
Squad Leader, Specialist, Medic/Engineer, Standard.
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc): Ranks would likely be decided through RNG with a limited set of ranks for a role. It would potentially put a Standard at the fore, rather than the needed squad medic or engineer, by rank if the specialist and leader had fallen.
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it): Modification of present ranks on jobs, with a chance of receiving a different rank within reason.

Re: Improved Chain of Command
Better idea. I'm going to triple the damage the Chain of Command does to people, thus, improving it.

Re: Improved Chain of Command
I didn't think of it as a problem, the idea was to put the other ranks to use.

Re: Improved Chain of Command
So do like Baystation12 where you can choose your rank when making a character?
My name is Ulysses Skyfall, but people call me "Meat".

Everyone will choose Lance Corporal because no one wants to be a boot. I prefer random rank ranges at least for standards. I'd leave the other positions alone.LordLoko wrote:So do like Baystation12 where you can choose your rank when making a character?
