What rule(s) were broken: Improper escalation.

Description of the incident: Throughout the operation the CL said colorful insults over the radio regarding marines, when the RASP slammed into the Alameyer we all started to head to the escape pods, still quite heated over the CLs lack of disrespect for now dead marines and his incompetance I punched the CL, at this point he backed up drew his pistol and started firing, I tried to back away from him but he continued shooting and i was downed. He shot and hit me a few times after and I quickly died.

How you would punish the accused: I am unsure what the punishment is for improper escalation, he fired numerous times after i was down and no longer a threat to him and continued to shoot until I was dead, it warrants perhaps a short ban? Maybe a job ban.

Not too long after this spat, he gets disemboweled by a boiler and hunter (fun little tidbit is they were both staff but this has little to do with the actual case)

I can confirm the claim that the CL was throwing all kinds of shade towards the marines and was quite unlikable but I'm going to assume he was just RPing his character, so that is fine. At least in the eyes of the rules of the server. The issue here is the improper escalation between the you and the CL shooting you dead for a simple punch. The player in question has no notes related to this topic and a warning would probably be sufficient for this case
