Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
Byond ID: ShyShadow
Marine Name (so we know who you are, if you play alien mostly, state that here): Christopher Odd
Name of the character you want whitelisted (The name your predator will use. This must match your in-game predator name): Ki'dte Kantra (Enough Prayer)
Are you familiar with the Predator Code Of Honor? I'm extremely familiar with the Code of Honor, read it more times then I can remember.
Character background (A very BRIEF description of your predators background): The pup was born within transit to his clan's home world, his mother never told him who his father was, for she cared of only his skill and worth his name forgotten in the tides of time; however the pup's mother told him of his strength, his skill everything she found would birth excellent offspring. She was right, but with strength came with faults. The pup was found to have a underdeveloped "hish", a gland that produced pheromones that if not regulated could turn any Yatuja into a ravaging animal. While some say it may be good to not have such a gland, it made the pup less of a hunter and close to one who lacks the crave for the hunt.
Once the pup matured into a Young blood he had began with the routine training and sparring, his physical attributes were all superior then to the other young bloods most spars were over quickly showing great prowess in his ability of a hunter. His mother couldn't be anything but proud, yet he didn't feel proud of himself often questioning the nature of strength. He wondered if his lack of animalistic instincts made him less of a hunter, he often prayed to The Conquering Warrior. Asking if he was as strong of a hunter as he could be, praying and praying for hours in his chamber when he wasn't busy training or sparring. When the time came, as with all young bloods it was time for his right of passage. The test that would prove if they are capable of the hunt, the young blood was nervous and yet content. He knew of his strength and capabilities but what was there to prove? That he could kill? That he was a killer? He knew of the restraints he must put on himself, but he prayed it was a restraint on the act of killing of course that did nothing.
The Trip
Before boarding the Migratory Craft he had spoken with his mother before anyone else, their conversation mostly composing of farewells and advice his mother hadn't known of their doubts. He boards the craft, mesmerized by the beauty and architecture within the ship the walls having writing composed of many other hunter's stories the young blood made his way to the sparring room where the other young bloods had been waiting. He had instantly noticed the elite that stood there looking at the other young bloods then at him. The elite seemed challenged at the sight of them, he wondered the capabilities of the unblooded. The routinely sparring had begun shortly after the craft had embarked on it's flight to the nearby hunting grounds, the young bloods sparred showing such ferocity and determination while the elite pointed out flaws in their spar. The elite had expected more of the young blood that stood to the side, he seemed curious in why the hunter hadn't wished to show his strength to the other Yautja. After the two young bloods were done sparring the elite had introduced himself to the shy hunter as Willed Hunt, proceeding to ask them to spar. He had made his way to the sparring center, where the spar lasted for a whole 3 minutes they had never experienced such a tense fight usually coming up victorious in only a matter of moments. As expected the elite had claimed victory, both were bruised and worn out but regardless Willed Hunt had taken the victory.
The young blood made his way out of the sparring chamber briefly after the spar, he made his way into one of the sleeping chambers they had yet again began to pray to The Conquering Warrior. The thought of having to end the life of something else without any actual reason was always confusing to him, yet he still was content with the fact it would make him stronger. While in the midst of praying Willed Hunt had entered the young blood's chamber, they clearly looked confused as the young blood quickly got up from their knees in prayer. Willed Hunt asked him what he was doing. They stood there in silence, not knowing how to respond to their question he was both anxious, nervous, scared of what he would reply with, he soon answered the elite about his praying. That's what he was doing after all, Willed Hunt just nodded they could see the uncertainty in the young blood's eyes as he stood there. He asked why they were so nervous and the young blood continued to tell him about his doubts and his beliefs, the elite was in utter confusion he hadn't imagined such a promising hunter had such doubts. He counseled the promising hunter, the elite saw much of himself inside them but he felt something had held him back and he knew what. It was was his lack of faith in himself and the hunt, Willed Hunt reassured the promising hunter of his strength and the way of the hunt the promising hunter had conflicting thoughts but he took what the elite said and cherished them.
The Hunt
As the young hunter stood with his bio-mask in his hands he looked at it for a while before another young blood caught him off guard when they began to speak with them. He acknowledged them, looking around the armory the young hunter began to prepare himself mentally and physically for his right of passage. This was his time to prove to his clan and himself he was capable of the hunt, placing on his clan armor and greaves with everything else that entails, the important was his weapon of choice he looked at all of them noticing every single detail how all of them had their strengths and weaknesses. He had stared at the traditional Clan Sword the beauty and craft of it, it was perfect for him. He was ready, he began to make his way to the ejection pods on his way Willed Hunt had given him a Ceremonial Dagger and not just any but his personnel one, the one he had been given on his first hunt the noticeable battle scarring and damages are easily seen. The young hunter had thanked them and continued their way to the ejection pods already seeing two others had deployed he quickly entered the pod and ejected onto the surface, while hurtling onto the planet he prayed.
He crashed onto the planet exiting the pod, it had hissed as he exited was clearly audible. He examined the environment, it was a tropical jungle warm and humid just the way he had liked it. He quickly made his way out and examined the tracks left behind by his fellow young hunters following in their footsteps he had quickly caught up to the two other hunters, making an extremely low amount of noise both of the hunters had barely noticed he had approached them.
As he caught their attention he almost had been killed but due to his reflex he managed to dodge the young hunter's swing of his glave, the young hunter had audibly been angered. After a few moments of the young hunter cursing him out there was a rustling of the leaves, none of the hunters could see any serpents with their bio-mask's Electromagnetic Field Detection vision or serpent vision it's commonly called. The young hunter scrambled through the different vision modes, landing on thermal noticing a clearly humanoid figure running through the forest though they seem distant he was curious to see what it was. Activating his cloak and climbing up into the trees, the two other hunters confused follow him.
As he grew closer to the unknown figure he'd seen what it actually was, it was a "Human" his mother had spoken of their less then fortunate strength but were still worthy adversaries of course they claim no where near to the Yautja's superiority. They were crafty and creative, they could take down the most skilled of hunters they aren't considered an easy hunt by any means. The had moved in closer to the human he had noticed the form of weaponry that it carried. This one was fair game he had thought, but it wasn't what he was here to hunt and just after that more rustling of the trees could be heard as a serpent quickly tried to pounce the human this one's speed and creativity was that of a skilled hunter or at least for his kind. It evaded the serpent just as the serpent was about to kill the human the serpent's head was blasted off into a giant chunk, the acid sizzling into the dirt. The two other hunters had seemed to lost interest and scurried off, he was still interested noticing the state of what the human was in he seemed to be in a less then optimal condition his clothes were torn and he was dirty. The sound of his fellow hunters roars quickly caught both him and the human's attention he quickly made his way through the trees, jumping to and fro. As he came into view of what scene he wouldn't forget he saw one of fellow Yautja lifeless with a giant gaping hole in their abdomen. The fresh blood of his fellow hunter catches his attention, he flicks to serpent vision scanning for any other serpents and to no avail. He makes his way down getting onto one knee next to his follow hunter, he makes a quick payer to the Black-Warrior proceeding to close their eyes honoring the perished warrior by moving them into a resting position placing his hands on their chest. Proceeding to activate the self destruct on his wrist gauntlet, quickly running away.
He wouldn't forget this moment, he'd continue forward following the tracks left behind the serpent uncloaking himself eventually finding an overrun building. He'd assume it was created by humans as to explain why all these serpents exist in the first place, he'd look at the structure through his Sat-com viewing the interior revealing the schematics but that's all. He quickly looks at the building seeing the much of it was covered in the serpent's resin, as he does so he'd hear a sudden hiss just barely managing to swerve out of the way of the serpent's tail. He quickly notices the missing arm of the serpent he'd consider it an uneven match but the serpent is relentless pouncing at the young hunter. He'd quickly duck underneath it grasping onto the throat of the serpent slamming it into the ground quickly breaking it's neck with a quick stomp of his foot. An oddly satisfying action considering the creature's way of killing and whom it has killed, he grabs hold of the serpent's corpse moving it away from the "hive". He drops it onto the floor, grabbing a hold of Willed Hunt's dagger cutting through the neck of the serpent skinning the creature and the like.
He hears yet another rustling, he readies his Clan Sword waiting patiently scanning the trees and forest for the serpent he sees it in the distant, it seems to be dragging something and it seems to be struggling. He quickly changes the vision seeing it's his fellow hunter they seem uninjured and fine, he'd quickly make his way to the serpent roaring to get it's attention it'd quickly sprint into the trees attempting to get away leaving his fellow hunter alone. As he thinks he's safe two serpents pounce onto him, he roars in agony as the serpents scratch and slash at his skin. He struggles to get them off, only managing by pure luck he quickly regains composure of himself the two serpents begin to circle him walking slowly. He prays silently to The Conquering Warrior, what's said isn't known but what comes next is. The two serpents quickly pounce at the young hunter, he quickly uses his wrist blade to get up the tree that he is standing next to. Stabbing into the trunk he quickly jumps to and fro from each tree. The two serpents begin to lose track of this quick hunter they begin to climb up the trees themselves, the young hunter waits silently seeing them climb the same tree. He quickly jumps from the opposing tree striking one of the serpents in the back with his clan sword impaling the serpent, leaving it there noticing as the serpent tails tries to strike him. Leaping to the other trees, the other serpent in hot pursuit he makes his way onto the ground landing with a noticeable sound the serpent leaps onto him; however he's prepared and ducks underneath it grabbing hold onto it's tail swinging into the nearby tree, the serpent dazed and injured he quickly unsheathes his wrist blades and stabs the underside of the serpent's head finishing it off. The green blood spurts out of the sound landing on his armor and hand, the acid makes the wrist blades steam roaring in pain as the acid lands on him. Having no time to claim his trophy he quickly makes his way back to the impaled serpent it struggles and screeches in pain as it stays there impaled the hissing of the blade is extremely audible, he also finishes off that serpent and proceeds to go over to his fellow hunter. They, were gone. He quickly gets on his knees the feeling inside him, something that makes him feel regret, weakness, anger, sympathy, all these feelings and yet no explanation as to why. He had no history with this hunter, he died due to his weak nature and he lived due to his quick thinking and skill but why then did he feel this? He didn't know and he didn't want to he quickly made his way to the two serpent's corpses grabbing them making sure not to get any of their blood on him.
He brings the corpses to his previous kill, which he hadn't wish to claim as a trophy due to it's already weakened nature. He skinned both of the two serpents, he marked his mask with the sign of the blooded, burning the insignia into his mask with the acidic blood of the serpents. He remove both of their heads picking them up, he looks back at the forest. So many memories, so much hatred and yet, so much fear.
The Epilogue
The now blooded hunter has earned not only the respect of his clan he also received his name of Enough Prayer after his right of passage. He's gained more confidence through this trial, but the memories the lost hunters that he had to see lie dormant lifeless and he couldn't do anything he was a coward in those moments but regardless he was a true hunter now. His efficiency and skill was extremely admirable, his quick thinking had saved him and it will save him for the many more hunts to come.
How do you intend to play your predator (as in, describe HOW you will act/play your predator. This will weigh HEAVILY and frequently breaking from this MAY result in removal)? My character is extremely roleplay based even more so then most predators, though I require very little other player's input to preform said roleplay I still hope my roleplay manages to affect other players. Now onto how I will hunt, it's very close to how standards would play only a few things here and there. I provide a lot of details about my predator's thoughts and feelings, which I hope to incorporate into my hunts.
I intend on preforming a wide variety of roleplay based actions, like mercy killing or finishing off weakened hunts. I also would like to add my "Vengeful" nature, I would usually aim for marines or aliens that have claimed many lives of either side, while this is probably similar to how most predators would play I would like to incorporate as I said above my character's roleplay. My character would not take trophies of other hunters, or at least wouldn't want to. Any already injured marines I would avoid completely even if they were shooting at me, but if they do go out of their way and chase me and attempt to kill me I would retaliate with severe hostile intent.
I would try to be as restraint as possible when it comes to killing, my character has doubts about the hunt but believes it is still a necessity to prove his worth. I don't intend on injuring marines/xenos that I'm not going to kill, if I maim them I won't let them suffer for their weakness I will finish them off as both honorably and mercifully ending their suffering and being able to claim a trophy.
Why should we whitelist you? I've been extremely modest in my previous applications, and I will stop with that and provide legitimate reasons. I'm a well rounded roleplayer that enjoys the universe of Alien/Predator, I enjoy the interactions within a hostile environment that is Colonial Marines which usually try to simmer down with my less then blood lusted characters. I'm a good guy that likes to have fun and make things more enjoyable for others, I know I've been salty but I'm more then focused on trying not to be salty, I like tread lightly when it comes to killing non-confirmed hostiles as a marine. I play Corporate Liaison often and do my best to fit the role of a cool-headed business employee and I tend to have others enjoy me as a CL. I'm capable of preforming this role as I am with many other roles, I like to act like my character and as what role I am. If I'm a medic, engineer or a marine I like to act like one, acting rambunctious and confident. I have high respect for the roleplay that's done often by the competent players of Colonial Marines and how they manage to interact with the universe and manage to incorporate the lore within the actions that result in a great blend of roleplay.
I wish to contribute to that type of roleplay by being a character that demands high roleplay to be done properly which I think I am capable of.
Have you been banned from CM in the last month for any reason (we will check, and lies may result in immediate denial)? Not that I'm aware of, though I think I've received a note.
Are you currently banned from any other servers and if so, why? I'm not currently banned from any other server.
Do you understand that any player - donor or otherwise - can have their whitelist status revoked should they break our rules or disobey the Predator Code of Honor? I understand the consequences of preforming less then optimal roleplay as this role and breaking the rules as said or as any will be met with consequences.

+1 this, due to the fact that Shy seems like a more than capable RP'r overall from what I've seen and the amount of detail he's put into his app seems a lot more than what some have done for their applications in the past and from the ones I read when I was learning a few pieces of Predator lore along with his presentation on the app' shows that he's actually invested enough to want to get whitelisted instead of generically filling the boxes to a menial degree or a 'just enough' standard. Perhaps there could've been a little less backstory to keep it more within the brackets of brief though realistically the sacrifice for short and sweet is equalled out by the enthusiasm he's put into his application to of wrote that much in the beginning.
tl;dr - +1 this, it looks really good and fully fleshed out and I know Shy's a trustworthy/capable rp'r from what I understand and seen so far.

The background is so good and i really had fun reading it, bit too long but nonetheless great work. And i even recognize your name in-game, you're a very good RP player and should be good as a Predator i hope. I will give my +1s.

As I am writing this I am tired as balls so I am going to keep its short and sweet.
I really likes all the details you put in and the stages of life. Playstyle is as you said is generic but so is mine. You're a great RPer and you clearly are very interested in creating great experiences for everyone.
No doubt a +1.

Re: Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
Alright, the backstory.
Forewarning, this part of the review will be incredibly biased because you USED PERSONNEL INSTEAD OF PERSONAL YOU FIEND, YOU SCUM OF THE EARTH!
A problem I've noticed throughout the app, you barely use commas. This makes sentences blend together and look simplistic, and simply feel BAD to read. I'm not saying painful to read, because I say that often enough. Right in the first paragraph, I had a problem. "his physical attributes were all superior then to the other young bloods most spars were over quickly showing great prowess in his ability of a hunter". WHY? WHY IS YOUR HUNTER SO PERFECT? Why can HE defeat EVERYBODY else? Don't give me that underdeveloped Hish crap, because all that does is remove his berserker rage. Why does YOUR Hunter, automatically have superiority over the others? After that, in the second paragraph, there's just more and MORE BAD sentences, because you barely use commas. I can't draw enough attention to this problem, because it's present throughout the entire app and makes it a terrible read. And now we get the regular grammar mistakes too, so it all meshes together into one, long, painful read. There's not much content to this paragraph that I can specifically comment on, just more of your Predator being stronger than all the other Youngbloods and holding his own against an Elite, then walking away to pray and get emotional support from the aforementioned Elite. That was actually done well. Showing this more human side of the Yautja, that they can have doubts and uncertainties, is good. However, it gets worse from here.
Third paragraph, we start with your Yautja being given the Elite's PERSONAL (NOT, PERSONNEL) ceremonial dagger...Why? What has he done to earn this? Has he defeated the Elite in a duel and shown him mercy? What did he do to deserve it? Then, your Predator is so sneaky, that as a Youngblood, the other Youngbloods don't notice him until he's within melee range. And then we move on to finding a human running through the jungle, and get a rather long-winded comment about while humans aren't strong, they're smart and aren't easy hunting. Yes, yes they are. They always have been considered easy hunts by the Yautja, and even Youngbloods that haven't defeated their first Serpent can hunt them with ease. The human then, with apparently the speed of lightning, can outrun a Serpent and dodge its pounce. A bit after that, you encounter a Serpent that supposedly killed the other Youngblood...And defeat it in two moves, chokeslamming it and stomping on the neck, instantly killing it. Let me take another detour here, because there's even more terrible grammar all over. Yes, I'm drawing attention to it again, because it's EVERYWHERE. After this, and you don't mention which kind so I'm left guessing, a Xeno is dragging another Youngblood...Who must just be lying limp and letting it happen, because he could retaliate quite easily with the considerable strength a Yautja has. The rest of it boils down to easily defeating two other Xenos, but I'm going to leave it.
I don't like it.
Now, boy oh boy, the best part of the app. We get the playstyle.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but you say you're very roleplay based, and then you list " a wide variety of roleplay based actions, like mercy killing or finishing off weakened hunts."
Now, roleplay, is not murdering people. It's usually considered something of the opposite, but again, roleplay is NOT killing people. Killing people is killing people and it's done on a regular basis by each side of the server. Where's the roleplay in hectic fighting? So then you go on to say about how you'll go after the members of the sides that kill a lot've people from the other side. This is the only glimmer of relatively unique part of the playstyle, but sadly, your attempt at being "Vengeful" as a character trait of your Predator that might've actually worked well if expanded upon, ends there. You'd ignore injured Marines, even if they shoot at you. Okay, but...Why? I get ignoring injured Marines, but ignoring them even if they shoot at you, isn't that contrary to your supposed "Vengeful" nature? You then say you wouldn't take the trophies of the other hunters...Which is something you wouldn't do anyways because someone would challenge you to a duel for impunging their honour like that, but I digress. See, then at this last bit, you say you want to be restrained in killing...But all of your "Roleplay" actions at the start of this involve killing.
This was a painful read throughout, and the "How you want to play" is inconsistent.

Okay, I'm just gonna say this, I didn't put as many commas because in one of my previous apps. Someone had said they thought I had put too many commas. I was extremely unsure of myself when I thought it was a good idea to put commas due to them saying I was being excessive.Boltersam wrote:Alright, the backstory.

Okay onto the backstory part of the criticism, a lot of the part of it is me letting the reader decide why certain things happened and you seem very keen on the part of my character being good hunter which is good. I was extremely nervous on the reactions of a good hunter due to the norm of just "Okay" hunters in a lot of backstories. The reason why he's a good hunter is whom his parents were, they were both good hunters they left their superior genes onto their son. I digress, so you taking it up to guess is what I was GOING FOR, it's SUPPOSE TO be left to interpretation because that's what I was doing. The entire story I left my character's name completely out of it because they hadn't earned or gained it, also there was little details because I had hoped someone would get the memo that this planet was taken over by xenos. Due to the building now being a Xeno's nest, an unconscious Yautja? He was face-hugged. I decided not to add the detail of a small green blip appearing on the fellow hunter's face due to I had assume the reader would be able to come to consensus that he had been rendered unconscious. I take responsibility of not adding the green blip thing. As to surviving the two xenos, as stated inside the story a lot of it was luck, lady luck saved him when he barely managed to get them off. He was lucky enough to not die from the jump of the two xenos which were "Hunters". Anyway, the reason why his name is "Enough Prayer" is because that's what he's done. Enough Prayer to get him out of sticky situations he's a good hunter and his luck saveed him, while it's not obvious I tried to mask it with his skill but a lot of it is his faith in prayer.
You asked what did Prayer do to earn the Dagger? What he did was, nothing. What the Elite had thought of the young hunter was what he thought, he saw something inside that young hunter. What he saw was himself, he wanted them to succeed he knew they would survive their hunt because he had as well. He knew of what the troubles that the young hunter was going through and he knew it was worth giving them the ceremonial dagger. Asking why is what I'm suppose to have you think, I wanted you to figure why on a lot of things because that's how I am as an author.
Okay, onto the The Hunt, part of the story. So when he lands, and "sneaks" up on his fellow hunters I was trying to show their reckless qualities, I was trying to show that they weren't as vigilante as they should be. Prayer was only as quiet as he needed to be when approaching them, he hadn't tried to sneak up on them he just did, he didn't want to alert any serpents. There's reason for these things, and I didn't add things for no reason.
Onto my "Way of Hunting" while I said I'm trying to roleplay without killing, it specifically asks how I will hunt. Not how I intend to be playing and roleplaying, I added only parts of how my backstory will affect the hunting aspect. You seemed drawn to the fact I wanted to show how I will hunt saying that I contradict myself through and through by adding reasons onto the killing part of a hunter. Which I intended to show due to it asking how I will hunt, also me saying I won't kill another hunter's kill I meant if they die like they are dead I don't want to take their kill as a trophy maybe as just a kill. There's a LOT of things I intend to do that don't revolve around killing but I answered on how I intended to hunt, basically how will I kill other things. As to interpreting "Vengeful" I mean as in I'd be vengeful of others while I'd rather not kill an injured marine that claimed victorious I would wish to avenge my fellow hunter if said marine were to I don't know shoot me after being patched up? I'm not vengeful of myself but of others basically.
Anyway, I'm sorry if my application wasn't as great as it could have been. Me being vague didn't help in a lot of the scenarios but that's how I write. There's a bit of grammar error but kind of hard without an editor ya know? I mean I re-read it like 5 times guess a lot of things just didn't stick out I guess? Anyway hopes this help you.
P.S. The reason why the human was able to not die to the Xeno was due to him surviving the entire xenomorph take over, my bad I meant or had intended for the human to have stopped again my fault. He wasn't just any human, he was A survivor, a good one at that. He probably would die in a matter of a week but he was still a good survivor.

Re: Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
Maybe, just maybe like I haven't posted enough on this topic to warrant a response from someone. How would I know, regardless I would like to address the fact that a lot of the grammar mistakes were my own incompetence. I'd like to explain that I wear glasses and I got a lazy eye. It's not a "Lazy" eye more so it's a weaker muscled eye to my right eye counterpart and not noticeable, while rare I can get double vision from putting too much strain, so picking up typos are a little difficult for me at times. However I accept any person's critique on said manner.

Ah, yes. Sorry about that, it was just Tribes. Was just kinda like annoyed for the 6th time I've missed it, I don't usually act "Toxic" per-say but I can complain about things at time. Anyway, it's not excusable how I acted and I do apologize kinda been in of an equal rut lately guess that influenced by acting idiotic. hey man, ill change it to a +1, but if you find yourself into another rut, try not to take it out that way again. Its good you owned up to it, but in the future, just try to be patient and chill a bit.

Re: Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
Your background story's very long for a "brief" background, but it's okay and demonstrates a high understanding of predator lore.
I especially like how you incorporated the Hish into it.
Regarding your playstyle, I like your vengeful hunting. Something that has killed many of it's enemies is surely worthy prey.
But you also say you'll do roleplaying activities "- like mercy killing or finishing off weakened hunts" , even though the Code of Honor has a rule dictating what to do with wounded prey by another hunter.
The Code of Honor's very important and you should probably elaborate what you meant by that.
I haven't seen you playing as Christopher Odd very much, atleast within this past week.
The reasons to whitelist you are good and honest but again I haven't really seen you much.
Overall, I like your application very much, and I'll give you my support if you can expand on that honor code conflict

Re: Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
Thank you for the oversight, I very much enjoy when someone likes a good read. Anyway onto the problems within it, that you have pointed out. I very much know of the Joint-Trophy system, however my character doesn't wish to hunt previously hunted game. He does wish to finish them off, though he knows of the less honorable hunt that it's made out to be. He doesn't like an easy hunt but he does like the vengeance that comes to killing off another fallen hunter's prey, but he doesn't wish to outright hunt them he'd prefer if they were to assault them and then he would kill them. Though he prefers not to take them as a trophy due to his feel towards it's dishonesty and it's not as honorable. It's complicated on paper, but it's more easily understandable in game. I'm not the greatest at explaining things but I try my best to get them across.Nick123q23 wrote:Your background story's very long for a "brief" background, but it's okay and demonstrates a high understanding of predator lore.

This is an extremely difficult playstyle to per-say explain, mostly due it's only roleplay based. Enough Prayer is a pretty standard predator but I want to bring a lot to the table by roleplay and actions that aren't really hunt orientated.

Re: Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
The Backstory definitely shows through research and understanding of pred lore, the playstyle is average, but that's sometimes not a bad thing.
The player in question is known to be notoriously salty, but I have noticed it has calmed down quite a lot in the past month, and I can trust him not to plasma cast the first marine that shoots him on a bad day.
So all in all, I think this player is capable of handling the role.

Re: Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
Gash... I have mixed feelings about this one. For one part, i like your story, it was pretty cool and had some cool twists. On the other hand... The whole "how do you intent to play" seems SO BLAND! You basically just said the rules with other words. I'm also not a fan of the whole "very little imput from the other". The predator role (in my mind) should be used to give marines and xenos alike to the concept of the hunt, i don't mean going around saying "I'm stalking you", but i'd rather not be insta decaped by a pred again, without me knowing i was being hunted. Don't take this vote as an insult, or personal attack, i actually like the way you rp in most cases. Take it as a "you can improve". Work more in the next "how do you intent to play" and i'll gladly give you the +1.
Vote: At the last time i decided to go for neutral rather then -1.

Re: Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
Thank you for the criticism, and I accept your input. However, I was not trying to be "special" I was trying to create a character that was in most cases normal. They aren't entirely special, I would hunt normally as most other predators would, but I wish to add my character's personality. I do get the whole "self-centered" thing isn't a great thing. However the roleplay I intend to do doesn't "have" to affect others. Though it can and probably will, I do intend to hunt. My character has sympathy, and with sympathy I wouldn't just attack marines or aliens with little to no actual roleplay. I feel as if you took the way I will hunt a bit of a wrong way. My roleplay wouldn't affect the actual hunt severely, it mostly would be either afterwards or the actual engagement would be affected. The actual process of the hunt wouldn't be affected. As I stated before I would be quite standard. Doing the whole "Maniacal Laugh" or roaring ect. I intend to hunt pretty standard.jusa297 wrote:Gash...
Anyway I hope I can change your opinion on my application.

I see... Well i was a bit doubtfull towards leaving the neutral vote or switching to -1. But since now i see you were going for a standard, i think i'll keep the neutral. Bests of lucks to you.shyshadow wrote:Thank you for the criticism, and I accept your input. However, I was not trying to be "special" I was trying to create a character that was in most cases normal. I'll stick a bit with Bolter, I'm sticking to neutral, but I wouldn't mind see'ing you accepted and going around to see what you exactly intend to do.
My biggest advice is to draw out your objectives and goals in each given sentences, to pick a topic and start, develop and complete it properly in your speech. Otherwise, the general idea was 'alright', but the read was horrendeously long and I would've prefered if you gave two sections (One with a shortened version explaining BRIEFLY each major topics of your story, then one with detailed reports of said topics).
PS: Genetic doesn't affect your skills and doesn't do a great lenght of difference in your muscular build. If you train continuously like EVERY SINGLE HUNTERS DO then you'll reach a level where your capabilities can only be improved through hard training of your abilities and not your muscles or flexibility.
So yea, in short, neutral, but good luck with the app.

CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

Thanks for not giving me a -1 to say the least :P. However you stated that it was too long, but did you enjoy it? Or was it just too long to see it as good? Just a question.Sarah_U. wrote:I'll stick a bit with Bolter, I'm sticking to neutral, but I wouldn't mind see'ing you accepted and going around to see what you exactly intend to do.

Re: Ki'dte Kantra - (Enough Prayer)
If you were to write your sentences by topic and follow a structure and ponctuation that would be appropriate, then sure, it would've probably been a good piece of read. Although, overall it was horrendeously long and caused me to spend several minutes simply reviewing your choices in writting this or this.shyshadow wrote:Thanks for not giving me a -1 to say the least :P. The backstory is not made to be exhaustive and beautiful (A bit to my regret perhaps), but to be brief and quickly show your understanding of Yautja lore. It's made to be brief so that not only it's easy and fast to read, but it also offer a challenge for the applicant to actually storm his brain into placing AS MUCH INFORMATION about his knowledge in AS LITTLE SPACE AS POSSIBLE while MAKING SENCE.
There's various points in your story that doesn't actually make the greatest of sence, but overall it was an okay read. I didn't feel COMPELLED to read it though, which is a loss for you, but it was nevertheless a promising draft of a story about a character that could probably feature in a comic or similar (By that I mean, that your character sounded overly OP and plot-armored, due to how he's made to be the best. Note though, that these characters are still not invincible and I would've liked it if you stepped down from the mighty mighty path).
Hope that resumes it well for you; Didn't like or hate it, it was just a piece of work I wen't through and found interesting at times. If you would've driven me around in that story and engaged me, then perhaps I would've +1 you, but you actually lost a lot of points for not getting that from me after I had to read through so many sentences.

All in all, I know my opinion in this barely makes a difference, but I support Odd all the way. He is decent at RP, barely seen him salty, and I know he can easily handle the role. The understanding of the lore can easily be shown in the story, but it was not the best in my opinion, but.... that barely makes a difference. +1 I hope this guy gets a chance!
