Rioting over muh attachments.

This should not be a thing. You should not be shocking doors because you didn't get a thing that makes your gun shoot faster. This should not have to be dealt with icly. This should not even be an issue. It's such a fucking detriment and pisses me off. I know a marine would never cry over their equipment as long as they had the base requirements for a mission. Playing CT is stressful due to a couple marines being assholes.

This is a real life story:

I was the RO, a pfc rocked up and asked for 5 attachments, told him to pick 2, he called me (censored) so i told him when he found some manners he could have attachments. He drew a pistol, so i closed the shutters till mps removed him. Opened the shutters, marines were yelling and swearing at each other/me, fight breaks out in ro, close the shutters again, mps don't show up. I tell marines ro will open back up when they stop fighting/being idiots. Me and the ct get working on gathering metal and plasteel till the situation calms down. Not less than 5 mins later, ro literally EXPLODES as marines c4 the door and blast grenades inside. They destroy the door, the auto lathe, and fire at us, but miss, so we run into maint where they can't follow.

When we finally come out and all the jerks have been dealt with, ro looks like a war zone, and marines have stolen/broken everything that either wasn't nailed down or they couldn't access. Marines later got routed in 40 mins and blamed it all on ro.

this, doesnt matter if its the whole platoon or one angry marine, this always happens.

It just needs to be part of the rules that rioting over attachments will be dealt with oocly and not icly. And then the admins of course should just warn people who try to riot over muh attachments. Or ban them if they've already been warned... There is no need to waste time on something that would/should never ICLY EVEN HAPPEN! Yes, it gives MP's something to do but it's something so tedious and something so irrelevant, so pointless... its not worth the time. Pisses. Me. Off.

honestly, we probably shouldn't make it an OOC rule to riot over attachments, since MPs already struggle to make use of their lawbook as is.

However, I do agree that any person who seriously feels the need to start shit over a few weapon mods that he'll probably lose in the first 5 minutes of a drop should get a good harmbatoning, if only to knock some sense into them. They are supposed to be trained marines, proper adults... Yet there are many marines that act like 5 year olds if they don't get what they want.

Seriously, you can get just as many kills with an unmodded Pulse Rifle than you could with a modded one, you just need to know how to aim.

So far, I've yet to see riots over attachments, at worst, Marines will stay in line and wait for SOMEONE to man the vender, at best, they'll move on and just get rail lights and bayonets. It should be dealt with ICly, and these issues will become more common place in the US summer (when most of the grey tide will occur), but that's where the problem should be dealt with OOCly since more riots = more stallings. I remember one time when Marines DECIDED TO KILL THE RO AND MP's FOR MAKING THEM SIGN PAPERWORK FOR ATTACHMENTS AND GIVING OUT ONE ATTACHMENT PER PERSON. IT GOT SO FUCKING BAD ORDUKAI HAD TO FUCKING RESTART THE SERVER. I am serious. We RESTARTED, because of attachments. Things that will be lost the moment you die. That's not to say that you'll be dead 40 minutes into the operation. I'm fucking serious, this was in SEPTEMBER when the summer ended, but then the fucking kids got the bright fucking idea of killing several people for selfish reasons. In fact, I remember back then, people would just yell in comms "kill the MPs" or "riot! The RO isn't giving attachments!" and MPs couldn't do shit about it, some MPs were Staff PMed about arresting the people, and others were beaten for doing their role to a degree, because you didn't get your fucking way.

To be fair, and I used to subscribe to the "Attachments are useless" belief, they actually help a lot. Like *a lot*, red dot sight and extended barrel allows you to use burst fire without fear of FF and gives you the ability to hit stuff at the edge of your screen with all 3 boolets.

Still not a reason to riot tho.

Attachments are really useful and help make a gun more effective in whatever direction you mod it out in.

You can do well without attachments, but with them you get a even more effective gun.
