A coding question
Why is the Alien's ability to see hosts through walls not nerfable/changable with byond code? Just want to know

I actually heard from a Dev that the Xeno eyesight can't be changed because its impossible with byond.

They've said they can't in certain suggestions because it's hard but not impossible. They just have better things to do

Byond has certain "sight flags" that determine what mobs can see.
Without getting into too much detail, these settings are basically on or off. There is no way to define a range. You see it, or you don't. I don't know of any libraries that get around this.
