I like slugs

Post by Crab_Spider » 09 May 2017, 13:39

You know what I like about shotguns? The ability to adapt to situation and their versatile nature similar to that of the M41A. I've dealt with many xenos with buckshot, and some with slugs. I don't even like buckshot for one reason, I'm too exposed. I've been capable of pulling off some amazing feats with the Green Goblin, but I prefer punishing my foes from a distance and up close. Killing my foes in the most humiliating ways to die while they're still in control (huggers), just fills me joy as I shoot IB leader!Feweh's chest, and then finish the rest of his subordinates.
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

Slugs get bad stigma, they always suprise xenos who think herpa derp shotgun = cuck, suddenly they get destroyed from range.
Jason "Smoker" Prescott - The only guy you'll see replacing his new helmet in combat with the cigarettes of his old helmet.

If you think that's all they do, you should see the stun as well (still get the closer = stronger, mechanic too)

Aye I've experienced that moment, though personally prefer my mid range to be a Pulse rifle, when it all goes right you can level a hallway with burstfire as you advance even alone until you run out of ammo in your mag.

I'll give slugs a go next time I play Standard. Usually when I see robust shotgun users when spectating, they are almost always using buckshot.
LCpl. Raul Garrison: That nobody with a gun
Dr. Arthur Bennet: The guy you plead to fix you
Lt. Elizabeth Owens: The lady who won't stop badgering.

It's not that slugs are bad, it's just that they fill this middle ground. You're either gonna be in a situation where buck will be better, or m41a will be better, so why bother with the slug which is usually worse? At least in the m37a.

However, slugs in the masterkey and the mk221 fucking SLAUGHTER everything, even dethsquids.
Some guy.

I also like slugs, they are so squishy, and they aren't stuck up like snails. Cute little slimeballs.
