Legendary Ravager

Post by Nick123q23 » 17 May 2017, 00:34

A mature ravager (263) held the line with two other aliens and killed like, 30 marines and a predator.

Holy shit that's pretty amazing

To be fair, I did give him the victory on the duel by rushing it as hell just so the round would end with either of our victory's. I wasn't equipped with xeno extermination gear (Glaive and whatnot for hard hitting) and I still landed him a few good hits.

He used leaps while I didn't use anything else than melee, but he still fought well and landed a few great hits in the short time we sparred.
Great plays in surviving and destroying the entire marine force one by one by him thou; Would've attacked him while he'd need to regen in a real fight due to how ravagers can instantly decap with a single charge at times.

GG Hero1001, although it's rather sad the hive loss due to the no-queen 20min timer.

PS: Queen could've learned 1-2 improvement, but xenos were dissobeying and disorganizing too much. With you as an example around the hive they'd have probably stepped their game, but my only comment is that you hardly saved any other xenos around.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

I also want to make it know i was fully aware that marine wasn't the one who had killed the alien. I was just too deep in the RP to back out.

Some staff beamed the thought into my head to be suspicious of the prisoner and his involvement + His fingerprints were indeed on the gun for some reason.

I do. In fact, I'm the first ever Combat Hivelord
You will never be as bad as the baldie who picked up a tactical shotgun while a hunter was pouncing on top of a CMO for 4 seconds, with his only response being to pace around before being decap'd by said hunter. You are not Brett Kimple, and you never will be. You are not the reason why I regular MP.

The Ravenger is the real legend though.

reminds me of the time on 624 when a lone rav managed to murder the fuck out of 60+ whilst protecting the queen and managing to get to ancient and earning a xeno comeback.

Goes to show how a smart ravager can do considerable damage if they make use of ambushing tactics.

Despite their efforts, though, it wasn't enough to cease the beating of brave hearts that round, lead by one brave weenie of an SL. Despite all the shit that happened, we marines gave the xenos a hell of a fight. If the xenos didn't move around so much, we coulda got a marine major right there me bets... But they too damn fast for us.

Still, considering the events of that round, I like to imagine that the marines still managed to wipe out the alien hive later on in that day, after the remnants of the swarm were sent into hiding deep in the colony, marines seeking them out hour by hour until every single one of them was dead and the colony would finally be saved...

... Then again, knowing the common marine, it is probably just wish fulfillment and that the reality was that a handful of xenos would somehow slaughter the entire platoon and make all our efforts a waste. Wouldn't be the first time, sadly.
Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.

Except lowered health, lowered armor, lack of stealth, and isn't very good in sustained combat.

Im talking about before the update and explosion immunity. Ravagers were glass cannons, and they were very easy to take out.

Oh that's pretty long time ago. Anyway before the legit nerf. They were unstoppable. And even now they're dead dangerous.
You can't make something fast. Strong. Immune to fire and stuns and resistant to explosions with instatackles and medium hp legit.
