Whitelisted preference
Summary (a quick, 2-3 sentence summary):Add whitelist for a preference that will have higher priority than 'high' but only for important roles like specialist, XO and such
Benefits (How this will benefit the server and game as a whole)This will help get those noobs off spec when there are competent people around, all those punks set spec on high because they think they gonna be cool, and then they get killed real soon
Details (Description of how you think this would work, the benefits, etc):All the above stuff, get the noobs off spec and let competent people with community support seize it more often.
Mayby will help marine morons do harder if their specs are not newbs or otherwise not veterans
Implementation (Optional, if you have an idea how to implement it):

This place would be so much better if marines were replaced with cyborgs, atleast those would follow orders. assuming there was a rule forcing them to do so...

-1, I'd rather we have timelocks like from /tg/ codebases.

Re: Whitelisted preference
Definitely not. Players shouldn't be basically refused certain roles, especially ground combat ones, because someone with a whitelist is on. Time locks are also of debatable use due to how they don't accurately show experience.

Re: Whitelisted preference
Well, marines hardly gonna win like that... but eh, losing is fun right? But people picking up gamechanging roles just because of fancy stuff really ruin marine win chances.

Re: Whitelisted preference
You learn how to play the role by actually playing it.
In some of my saltier moments, ive advocated for a whitelist, but even I know thats stupid as fuck. It also brings in a "elitist" viewpoint to roles; "oh, that guy's not whitelisted? what a fucking scrub LOL lets not follow his orders!!!", similar to when you see a SL who no one knows about; they could be a veteran player who decided to random name but most vets wouldn't listen to you just because of the name being unknown.
Adding another elitist layer to the game is a bad idea. Nor has it helped; see the CO whitelist as an example. I really do not believe the CO whitelist has actually achieved anything of significance since I still do not follow some of the CO's orders because they are absolutely retarded and make me question how they got the CO whitelist in the first place.

Re: Whitelisted preference
well allright, if thats what you say, but throwing away spec role and mostly marine chances because new people keep comin and keep thinkin spec is cool kinda sucks. Mayby we should have timelocks, somewhat solves the issue with no foruming needed

Re: Whitelisted preference
Spec and gunner isn't really a problem since most people such as everyone who isn't new would have already taken it but hey, us mentors are here to teach peeps.
