So how do Mentor applications work?

Post by DexterDude » 17 Jun 2017, 06:53

Image http://imgur.com/a/30oql So this doesn't really help me. All it says is you don't need to post a direct application, but there is no format. I would appreciate it if someone shared with me what this exactly means. Do I just post what I know?

Thanks.

Honestly, you just need to message Feweh or Jerkface00 about becoming a mentor, that's all. I'd PM Jerkface since they're the Senior Mentor. And yeah, what Karmac said.

Just PM Slc on the forums asking to be made a mod. He loves that.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

Ya dingus.

This is acid goop so I'm allowed to take a moment to ridicule people.
You really just need to ask. People tend to be gobbled up during summer as greytide comes in, but just because recruiting standards go down, doesn't mean enforcement standards go down too. On the other hand, being a Mentor requires significant knowledge of the game so that you can teach people. If you have said knowledge, go ahead, but if you're new, I'd let it sit for a while.

I know quite a bit of stuff, although I didn't know that you didn't need to use a format like the Moderator (I.E "What do you do when someone asks you this)

I've been meaning to give this a pop for a while now, for the longest time I assumed administrators gave out the mentor role.

I knew you had to apply, just didn't want to at the time, but yeah I know how to do it now. I'm waiting for them to accept/decline it

Or play a long time and be knowledgeable enough and Feweh or Jerkface will PM you directly.

Be active in the community both ingame and forums, learn the game, play (almost) all the roles.

Thats how I got mentor.

I've played marines (All the marine roles, and the spec types too, excluding the RPG) Researcher, Doctor, Military Police" "RO" "CT" "MT" "CL" "PO" "SO/BO" and I play xenos every once and a while, my most active roles are probably PO, MP, and SL. I've played CM for a while, although I haven't been active the past few weeks.
