Unga Dunga Attachments

Post by Mobius_None » 23 Jun 2017, 20:47

I notice a disturbing lack of information on some awesome attachment combos.
Post some of your favorite attachment combos here
What I normally run on my M41A is a mag harn and extended barrel, or as a SL with a masterkey tacked on.

I usually try to go for a stock with bayo and rds for my shotgun as a standard. Mag grip and BC if possible for my m41a as an SL

Anyway who says to just use flashlight and bayonet is a scrub just ignore them. What you REALLY need is red dot and burst fire assembly to be sure you tear through any xenos like toliet paper

For my shotgun I try to scavenge up a BC and RDS to go with the Stock and Foregrip I get at the start.

Revolver works great with a Bayo and RDS. Never get the stock because you cant store the gun in your backpack or holster anymore and it KILLS the fire rate.

But really who needs attachments when you should be asking the RO for webbing and a machete.

So, I have three loadouts
The standard, which is either Engineer, Medic or Standard, and consists of either 1 unmodded SMG or 1 unmodded pulse rifle and a machete
The Smarty, which is for smartgunners and basically has a burst fire assembly with a charged barrel and machete, and last but certainly not least is
The Point-Man, which is either standard or B18 spec and consists of one pulse rifle, loads of AP, a gyro, quick fire, extended barrel and stock.

Though what I recommend is the first. You aren't robust if you rely on attachments to get kills. One unmodded pulse rifle is generally better IMO. And if you ever want attachments just find a baldie corpse and loot their gun. It isn't worth rooting or waiting half an hour in line for

Never under estimate what a few extra tiles of light can do for you in a world that just wants make your world as literally dark as possible.

Heck I'd take a rail light over an RDS unless I needed it for some niche weapon build.

Just have a rail light.
No matter how many RDS and stocks you have if your aim is shit attachments cant fix it. At least provide line of sight for the team.

I wonder what a round would be like if every Marine took a raillight.

The USCM always deploys at night, for we bring our own sunlight!

In seriousness to attachments though, theres really no combo that you can go wrong.
Except burstfire/quickfire, some people consider that sacrilegious.

On top of that, no debuffs but no increases. At least you know your weapon is less likely to fire a stray bullet and will still have an excellent fire rate. I used to go unmodded if I couldn't be bothered for the RO line. Then they put rail flashies and Bayonets in marine vendors so.. I don't need the RO line anymore.

Best round i had was with burst fire, extended barrel, and red dot sight. 5 rounds of AP going into a xeno would killlllll

I die inside when I see the PFCs horde all the attachments leaving none for the Specs or SLs, RO needs to grow some balls and say no sometimes

I'm starting to try out the miniflame to gauge it's effectiveness. Been pretty neat so far, excellent for area denial or limiting flanking routes of runners.
