Looting nanomeds and extinguisher cabinets. Is it against the law?

Post by Szunti » 30 Jun 2017, 07:51

I think they are for emergencies not for lazy marines. Looting them creates a hazard on the Almayer. This should be punished. If I need an extinguisher I ask engineering (I guess they have extra) or take one from the planet. If I want gauze and ointment I ask medics or doctors to vend me one.
Is it against the law? I think it's closest to Damage to Government Property.

I'm fed up with marines acting like this would be the only mission and Almayer would cease to exist after it. The highest priority is the Almayer, you don't take all the metal, the extinguishers, all the first aid kits. They are there to stop breaches, fires etc. What if a dropship catches fire and the 8 flamers took all the extinguishers from hangar?

I mean i'm not seeing how this is a huge issue given that the main examples you made could never happen since alot of things have been made idiot proof and theres no such thing as phoron or any other method of creating a fire.
Besides whats wrong with preperation?

If you want to see it made law I don't know if you can make a suggestion about laws but that's where I'd take it if I was you. Just sayin now that I'd -1 it right away. Who cares if flamers take the fire extinguishers and marines loot the nanomeds. If they don't use it no one will.

That's my stance on the issue as well.
I'm stressing way too hard about what to put here, so I'm just gonna leave it blank.... or....

Squad medics can give you all those extra bandages and ointments. Most medics don't take all the tricord.

The only reason it should ever pass into law is when it's finally noted that there is a severe lack of emergency lockers for a ship this size with so many people on board.

It's a crime of W-Y shaving costs.

I mean, I'd say this makes sense but nobody is ever going to use this stuff then, it'd be nice if the Ally had a few potential random events that might happen. Nothing major, but "Oh a fire broke out in the kitchen." or.. something, I don't know.

Inb4 fires break out in both the mess halls and none of the MT notice till all the machines are melted and Req actually needs to order food.

-1.

Marines have access to these terminals for a reason. Marines are also able to restock these. I would suggest that it is more of a crime for a Flamer to not take a fire extinguisher.

As far as the injectors? Marines know what they do. Marines know their function, and savvy Marines are living Marines.
