If predator didn't have a whitelist

Post by Renomaki » 30 Jun 2017, 22:26

You know... As silly as this may be... Sometimes I wonder what antics would take place if the predator role was more like the wizard role: a role of great power where anyone lucky with RNG could play it.

Just what kind of crazy shit would we stumble across, knowing that any random baldie could suddenly at random get access to an armory of high-tech weapons and finely-crafted blades? How would roleplay be affected when anyone, even those that never did a lick of research on yautja (let alone know what they are called) are put in their boots for but a round? Would the results be a thing of hilarity, or would it be a sight of sheer horror, knowing that any one of those predators could turn out to be a huge asshole (or at worse, a griefer with immense power).

I'd almost like to see how that would turn out, but due to how predator rounds tend to come only in handfuls per-day, it would take a week or so to gather such results. What would you theorize would happen?
Sometimes, bravery comes from the most unlikely sources.

CM:OSE enough said.
Bootlegs suck and no-whitelist is shit-tier with potential for thousand of griefing abilities.
Do not need to say more.
CM was obviously inspired by Starcraft: Ghost opening. At least when marines takes too long to deploy.

There's a reason I've said that the only thing stopping predators from destroying everything is the honour code.

We're too easily used to grief with.

Some people would go murderboning everyone and everything and loggin off after screwing the round.. or.. they'll get the role then Ghost to prevent preds on the round. . Or you could get a BR pred that blows himself on the ship with the hunt party OR you'll see biased players hunting only marines or xenos to win every round.
