My idea isn't fully fleshed out enough to make a full one suggestion thread and I'm seeking ideas and opinions, but would the addition of clerks (Personnel Clerks, Correctional Clerks, etc.) be a worthwhile addition to the game? IRL the USMC has Personnel Clerks (0121 Personnel Clerk) who's lives center around paper work. In the game they could serve as the primary keepers of the unused file systems we have. They could have a standard arrest report for MPs to fill out after brigging a squad of marines on weapons violations or even keeping medical records for the fifth limb replacement a Marine had. There could even be reports filed to the CL to send to Wey-Yu.

Just some of my ideas, I'm just trying to get a feel of what the player base thinks about this role before making a full suggestion.

I think a Command Clerk or Command Secretary could be a very interesting role. They'd also help solve the problem of nobody having time for the CL.

If you haven't noticed already, a lot of people who play SS13 aren't normal.

So far it seems to be a net neutral on opinions. If you all have any recommendations etc that would be helpful, then I will compile it and make a formal suggestion.

who the hell wants to be a clerk? That role sounds like the equivalent of being a miner in EVE

Some people enjoy being a care bear. I myself can't stand mining ice clouds and such however.

To be fair all other roles should be doing paperwork already. I think I'm going to write up example forms for every department. It's interesting getting arrested, released, then checking in the security system that the mp forgot to log off of to see no record of my crime was ever entered. Bonus points for printing the report.

So next time I'm arrested and they claim im a repeat offender I show them the printout. Then they burn it infront of me, so I can call them shitcurity.
